10 hours is a stupidly too long respawn timer, unless I’m lucky and happen to log in for the hour the site is up theres nothing to mine all day, took a day off to mine and just played league all day waiting for a site to pop up which never happened. We dont even get the one at downtime, so I log in, nothing to mine, log off. This is worse than before!
At least in the old system you got 5 belts and they spawned independently increasing your chance of having once to mine but one multiboxer hoovers these up in an hour and then theres nothing for a whole day.
Cant we just have smaller ones and t1,2,3 adds a belt each time, up to 3, all on a 4 hour timer?
I think the idea is to have huge rocks spawn twice a day, not to have medium rocks spawn many times a day.
The idea of these T3 anoms seems to be to encourage the use of big mining fleets and Rorquals. Without massively increasing the amount of minerals entering the game the only way you can have such big rocks at once is by limiting the spawn rate.
If you think it’s sad that a multiboxer often empties the entire site before you log in, I agree. CCP shouldn’t cater so much to the multibox playstyle, like when they added remote shipboard compression. They could have added regular non-remote shipboard compression for the subcapital mining support ships, which is equally useful but not nearly as easily multiboxed.
Not even multiboxer, as a nullsec resident our sites are mined out as they spawn, then nothing for 10 hours, in my home system I’ve not seen a belt for the last 2 days… I’d rather just have all the sites be the same size and just have the respawn timer reduced for t3 upgrades OR have it spawn 1-3 belts so they cycle at different times, surely for the hunter having no miners for 9 hours out of 10 is worse than potentially having them there all the time?
With 66% waste rorqs arent going to get used in the new site any more than before, if everyone started using them then ironically there would be even less minerals than we had before the patch!
Then mine a few jumps around? Who told you that you can only mine in one system? My “home system” has barely a single belt per week, so I mine next door and make sure I either don’t get caught or can protect my mining Op with guns. Why don’t you? If you live in null you will surely be part of a group, right? Don’t you have planned Ops? With a dozen people participating, claiming some system for the evening by force and mining it out? Why not?
You don’t want to tell me that you live in a nullsec system and are only allowed to mine in this one system, try to do stuff there ‘solo’ and now expect the game to fix this stupid situation by spawning ever more resources on top of you to grab? Go talk to your CEO about what you are paying taxes for if the corp or alliance isn’t providing you content and/or income sources in return. And if they can’t, pack your bags and go to a group that can.
I have alt alt in every t3 site in my region, I log them all though out the day, almost always empty, my home system I’ve not seen one, I’ve seen others and they were all nearly finished.
I also logged on 10 hours later in the ones I saw end as per the patch notes and for 2 hours they didnt respawn.
Then maybe you think about your concept a bit. ‘Alt alt gameplay’ by just logging in another char to follow respawn times and collect stuff from right beneath his feet maybe isn’t the way EVE is meant to be played?
I know, it’s probably what they told you about ‘how null works’ and now you begin to understand why it sucks.
Maybe it’s time to evolve, go join a group that actually plans and executes Big Mining Ops™ where you can take part, form relations and can experience a true corp life instead of waiting for timers on alts…
Not sure what any of this means, my whole region is mined out and theres no chance of catching a respawn because you only need to turn up once every 10 hours.
Im obviously in a corp, what are you talking about?
If you are in a corp and your whole region is mined out so you can’t find any content any more, your corp sucks, obviously. Because it would take like 30 minutes for a good corp to find resources to mine and plan a mining Ops. Hint: Scan a wormhole, secure the entrances, go in with a miningfleet and grab billions over billions in ore and gas. Or install a few Moon Drills on Athanors and blow up some moon ore every now and then. Or get rid of the massmultiboxers/botters in your alliance that seem to harvest all the spawning ore, because someone has to take it and it shouldn’t be hard to find out who that is, right?
Your whole story sounds like you are the only person in an alliance that has the opposite timezone and whenever you log in every content is already farmed and no one online that you could plan or do an ops with. There is a mistake somewhere along the way, and it isn’t that “too few ore spawns”, you seem to be totally unable to team up with the guys in your corp and set up some kind of cooperation to grab resources that are more difficult to reach than “undock, warp to belt, fire lasers”.
CCP hasn’t quite figured out yet that, no matter what you give null sec, they will still keep whining about it anyway. Nothing will ever be good enough. They will never settle for anything less than the ability to make billions 24/7…
Second this. Normally the morning fleet would clear the belt around 14:00 and me and my friends would do the evening “shift” if you will. Now after the morning run is finished we log in at night and theres nothing. We can’t mine anymore at a for us normal time.
I get its “whining” to some. But a casual player is suffering most because we simply don’t have the time to login at odd hours. Before around 20:00/21:00 I could just mine.
…in your home system. So what? Mine somewhere else. CCP wants people to move around, stealing other peoples resources, fight over them etc. pp.. It is against their main interest of having an exciting, interesting and challenging game if they would spawn you belt over belt over belt in your home system so you can farm right there all day long and warp to tether as soon as anyone enters the local.
SCAN A WORMHOLE. In every second of them are Ore Belts and most WHs are pretty much abandoned outside of prime time. Either mine in Expedition Frigs wich are incredibly fast and can escape most tacklers or place scouts at the connected holes and take whatever is in there. Ore, Gas or even Ice in shattered WHs. It really isn’t hard. Grab 3-4 guys with their alts and give it a go, we do that every day. It isn’t magic. Inside Gas clouds you even have almost 100% safety because nothing can sneak up to you cloaky, the gas would decloak it. Just move 50km away from the warpin and don’t go AFK.
Its not just the home system. Its everything in a 10 jump range and then some.
Now heres the thing. EVE’s brilliance is that you can do whatever the frak you want. Under the constant threat of getting blapped. But still… anything you want. Now I’m being forced to get into gameplay I don’t care for.
So sure whatever, carebeartears all of that. But small time indy players are being frakked over for multibox moneys. I get it. Doesnt mean I have to like it.
They could just filament around with a Porp and some Prospects/Endurances using the cloakies as scouts and look for Mercoxite in other null systems. Ninjamine, compress, Pochven Highway, Profit.
Or leave one clone and some mining ships in a HS ice system.
Or invade a shattered WH.
If ppl really want to do something, they’ll get it done. And such expeditions are even funny and exciting, they will learn new things, see other content, meet other people… There are great opportunities all around, but tmey chose to complain because they can’t do the same boring stuff all day long…
