That is only a symptom.
The potential underlying problem, is that PLEX purchase from CCP hasnt sufficiently increased to offset demand ingame.

Plex sales are relevant to how many people want to buy them. To increase sales CCP can do a sale and lower the price for a day or so.
Lol.
5chars.
Its difficult to understand you. Explain what u mean?
Edit: actually, donāt bother.
You should see the fantasy he concocted over in his other thread.
Well for those who think plex is expensive perhaps we should have a look at what can be done to afford it.
I did a combat site in Stain last night which earned me just under 20 million and took 24 minutes to do. I know that similar sites are available in sov that respawn as soon as one is complete. i believe a good sov system should have about 4 or 5 of these sites respawning.
I would pay 5 bill for a plex. Max 10b. I only make slightly more than that a month and SRP covers all of my losses so Iām still making more isk than I would be spending at 10b per plex.
10b is my max.
/me crosses arms. My MAX.
Iām too used to paying for a sub with debit card.
I think the real question is how many isks is £1.00 worth?, perhaps the value of isk has lowered where as back in the day isk was stronger. I suppose the only way to increase the value of isk is to make it harder to earn it.
Iāve just found that SP farming finally got unprofitable (unless iām heavily messed my calculations). Thatās the level of PLEX i would consider ātoo highā: where you cannot play āfor freeā selling SP.
Others have other metrics.
Iāve never liked skill point trading, I was made to wait for my skills to train with there being no shortcut. It was hard and harsh waiting which is exactly how I want eve to be,
My view is that waiting for skills to train made me make optimal use of the skills I had and push myself to the limit. This is one of the reasons eve will always be a unique game to me, totally in a different category from all other games.
It was such a cool feeling being attacked and then training for different ships and overcoming my enemyās attack.
The viability of skill point trading means nothing to me. I do feel CCP has sold out a little, they pander to the folks with lots of RL cash, but hey its all about C.R.E.A.M. (cash rules everything around me) huh.
Speak for yourself⦠Iām broke as hell⦠In the game, and out of the game to at $20bucks a pop for an account. Eventually I will get there, maybe in another year of training.
Gotta say, PLEX price could be higher.
I never liked it too. But i did SP farming as long as it was profitable.
And for many it was āplay for freeā card.
Give it a bit of time, the recent sales are destabilizing the market but it should line up after the dust settles a bit.
DUST was a travesty, it never should have happened, WHY put it on the PS freaking 3 andā¦
Oh wait, you mean real dustā¦never mind.
It appears that it is no longer profitable.
Ironically, PLEX is now hastening the end, whereas it was intended to prolong it.
Technically PLEX did prolong it. Injectors/extractors are what hastened it. When people easily/quickly obtain their goals they will become bored and wander off to something else to hold their attention.
Just the same as real life, if you get things easily youre more likely not going to appreciate it.
It is likely a market fluctuation. We saw this on and around July 25th as well where the sudden spike in PLEX prices rendered SP farming insufficient to PLEX oneās account for each month. You could PLEX 2 months, with 334 PLEX left over which would be insufficient to PLEX the third month.
The market process then rendered SP farming profitable again.
