And no end in sight… According to the recent Oz report, we have (or had) something like < half a day of PLEX availability (which is an all-time low). I think the new sustained level going into 2025 will be over 6.5m.

It will soon be more cost effective to buy an Omega subscription through CCP (as opposed to obtaining PLEX). As a hedge against inflation, PLEX is certainly shaping up to be the best long-term investment. Unless you need to sell PLEX for ISK - why would you at this point?

I have a good number of characters collecting the 5 PLEX from the Opportunity thing each month. Maybe twenty five at a guess.
So 125 PLEX a month @ 6.5M equals 812,500,000 ISKies. Not bad for a minute or two per character per day for 12 days.

12 billion ISK a year for basically doing nothing. Not bad at all… I made just shy of 2 billion in PLEX finishing the event across 3 characters.

Been stockpiling for a few months. First I bought PLEX for isk to play but when I saw I wasn’t going to spend it, I re-invested it in PLEX, just waiting for it go high enough for my taste and I will sell as needed/warranted.
I think many of us are. Myself, “my taste” would be around the 10m ISK mark.

I’m sure there are just as many players that would like to see it drop to 2.5m, so…
CCP wants higher plex prices. The more isk you get for your plex the more likely you are to buy plex in the shop.
At some point, the bubble will burst.

Tulips weren’t useful, PLEX is.
I mean as long as isk faucets overtake the sinks this is going to happen. Ccp has been far to nervous about limiting faucets and they have pushed the sinks just about as high(in some cases higher) than players will tolerate.
Trig space is a big but null rating and unless somethings changed incursions have always been just pumping isk in.
@Arthur_Aihaken But it’s not like it’s real money. You can’t buy anything with PLEX or Isk outside of the game so it isn’t so exciting as gold or silver hitting new all-time highs.
What’s been happening with PLEX is quite interesting, regardless.
Oh, and PLEX just passed 6.4m (headed for 6.5m). And this is even with CCP distributing 100 PLEX as rewards in the Winter Nexus.
I don’t see what is interesting about it. It has no value except in the game. Besides use for pixelated items it is worthless.
And when you spend real currency - that does have value - to buy it, that valuable money is forever gone in someone’s else bank account, it will never come back to you with added value.
Let’s keep this to in-game discussion. There’s enough real life that we all have to wade through as is.
A 30%+ year over year increase in the price of PLEX is still fairly impressive!
