YES! FINALLY someone says it!!
I personally have been wanting to mine gas in my own special fit Porpoise (20 billion ISK defense!!! It is invincible!!) in low sec, using NOTHING but drones. Just like you I want to sit there for 10 hours and enjoy a steady yield, take a nap, maybe go out partying, get married, get divorced, take the kids, give them back again, come back and enjoy watching my reliable income stream from the same gas cloud coming in.
It is not easy to describe this feeling of peace and satisfaction that I experience when doing this. I want this!
