I don’t know if you could get banned or not. But someone should give you a smack upside the head for going to visit your parents and then ignoring them to play a video game.

I have had Eve installed on multiple computers at the same time and never got accused of account sharing. I think more than that has to happen for an account sharing ban.

What I would NOT do is use a VPN through some other country or state, have another system on a local node, and log both accounts at the same time. I think that would be suspicious. I would certainly think so if I was the trained monkey watching the screens over at CCP HQ.

I had a friend who did networking/IT stuff and the coding for it.
He worked for porn sites a lot. Yes, really.

He said this was actually common …
… and he’s been implementing such a service for a lot of customers, not just porn sites though.

So… well … you’re wrong.

There is no such thing as reliable IP geolocation. There’s “good enough for what it’s for” geolocation but that’s not good enough for anyone (smart) to issue bans over. I can have an IP address in a different country every five minutes if I really want to for some reason. Hell, just connecting from home Vs the office will show me in a city ~1000 miles away (it’s a 15 minute commute). Cellular and satellite IPs also commonly geolocate to nowhere near the device’s physical location.

I promise you your friend has no such solution for that. You can implement such a system, I suppose, but it requires not giving a ■■■■ about its inherent unreliability.
