Well, as you can see on the second set of pictures, the 3 MLU II take 90% of the CPU of the prospect, you definitely can’t put the 4th MLU II without one tech 2 or two tech I overclocking rigs, and will have trouble fitting the 3 midslots and the probe launcher, with a damage control unit in the last low (a nanofiber would be better).
True that the 3 high slots with 2 lasers make the Prospect needs a mobile depot anyway.
Oh ok sorry for the too early posting, although for the mining laser, the only other tech II small one is the Miner II, which doesn’t use mining crystals at all. The names are not inline with the bigger strip miners.
It’s a common mistake for beginner miners to assume the heaviest version is the best version. ORE specific ones are actually stronger than T2’s but for the basics you just need to compare with the standards. The strip miners actually slaughter with those crystals though…
Here is what I got with the Prospect, with 2 mining laser upgrade II in the low (numbers are per turret) :
Miner II : 344 m3 / 60 s
Deep Core Mining laser I : 229 m3 / 60 s , could not put 2 turrets and MLU II witthout CPU shortage, cannot use crystals (crokite crystal used for the tests)
Modulated Deep Core miner II : 688 m3 / 180 s without crystals, 1205 m3 / 180 s with tech 2 crystal
Put back to m3/s it gives in the same order : 5.7 , 3.8 , 3.8 and 6.7. (tech 1 crystal is 6.2)
The Modulated Deep Core miner II is the best of them with a tech 1 or tech 2 crystal loaded. ANother little detail is that Alpha players cannot use the best one, being limited to the Miner II.
