This is not ROAMING … this is what your brain comprehend and understand from roaming…
roaming is sometimes jumping onto something bigger than our size to challenge our skills and understanding…
sometimes win sometimes fail…
roaming is sometimes catch someone and ransom and waiting while dealing with situation and preying not 3. party it or being carefull about timing to not to get caught by other pilots friends…
roaming is taking fights against each other then talk about that 30 second fight next 30 min and loosing ourselves into tecnical details… sharing fits giving each other feedbacks …
roaming is sometimes giving or taking fights with other pilots by knowing thats very little hope to win but both side still hungry for content and we give that to them make it fun …
roaming is light hearted banters in locals … giving loot salutes… playing mind games… drilling with other pilots with tunel visions and help them opportunity to see that through…
Roaming is killing then recruiting and be friends …
We are sharing this habitat and giving fights to each other… we kill each other and die to each other …
Now what you understand from ROAMING… is not exist for many of us because we are not F1 Monkeys …
oh and about miners… i think you mixed us with CODE ??
but i can see your point
Solo /small gang Pilots mostly doesnt need a “”““some neck beard””“” they lean on their knowledge and understanding in small gang fleets and even there is someone in lead… everybody has their own minds and they operate without in NEED to hear everything from FC to push F1 button…
We would like to see more pilots in this open air natural creative and inspirational way of pvp!!
Eve online is not only null sec… and PVP is null sec rarely reflect these values …
so yes … this event is absolutely good for people like you… and also gives you chance to not to meet with us and fly with us… and no need for for go deep into beauty of meta gaming fittings tactics and theory crafting… that requires time effort patience … thats definately not for everybody … right
sory but those messages are so many ic ouldnt copy paste them all here. but those are all from this same thread …
Dear Pilot… when i look at the threat all i see is you are spreading these kind of sentences towards people who is sharing their concerns about incoming event …i would like to remind you :
This thread open by CCP Dopamine so we can discuss about this new release and share our pespectives and as pilots who is sharing this habitat we have right to reflect our ideas comes out of experience in this platform… and we are greatfull for them to giving us this oportunity . and we do our best to present it here
SO far if you have any constructive persspective please present your ideas here…
you are not here for giving note for the people and and spread some negativity by telling people constnatly you are whining… you are salty…
this is not constructive…
this is not suitable to this forum threads purpose either …
Please share your opinions instead of trying to blame people whining and salting …
you are definately not ENTITLED to do this judgements here… Please respect others opinions and share yours…
So the interesting thing about this thread is that
Almost the entirety of the reaction is negative
Almost the entirety of the negative reaction is on the not-unreasonable assumption that the changes will be permanent after this supposedly limited-time event
All of those who object to this do so because we see the long-term implications: pretty much all of us will bet the farm that CCP will make it here to stay, and as such we need to craft our feedback accordingly.
I need to give kudos to @Brisc_Rubal for holding his ground. He could be a little bit less dense about this and say “I acknowledge your concerns and that there is a possibility it could become a problem” instead of saying “there is no problem and there isn’t going to be a problem, your concerns are unwarranted”, but it takes a lot of guts to hold your ground the way he has and I have to respect him for that.
Let us assume this cannot be stopped no matter the outcry from the community, even if we manage to sway some CSM members to our side - then it is our job to provide feedback to make this as least damaging as possible, or possibly come up with ways in which instanced content could possibly be a good thing. Not so much PVE (I think it’s safe to say this is categorically bad and EVE would benefit from the removal of abyssal PVE), but PVP arenas - there might be room for this to be a good thing for EVE in the sense that it doesn’t detract from the sandbox. I say this as someone who is generally opposed to the idea.
How can instanced PVP be not-terrible or possibly good?
First let’s recognize that:
PVP Arena tokens being a limited resource means people can’t queue up whenever they want (unlike other MMORPGs), they need to possess it first, so this controls the rate at which players are drawn away from the rest of the EVE universe
PVP Arena tokens being a limited resource means it will necessarily be priced so as to be prohibitive to some, at least those wanting to engage in PVP Arenas with high frequency. Hooray for market forces!
Between the two above, CCP has to be careful with the rate at which these tokens are seeded after the limited time event (during which they should be common) when this inevitably becomes permanent (at which point they should become less common)
The PVP Arena could be designed to only permit lower-end fits (hulls + module metalevels), such as T1/Faction hulls + T2 mod/rigs + non-abyssals only, thereby:
Forcing those wanting higher-end content to get it from the rest of the EVE Universe. If you want to use your Deimos or Tengu or Vargur or Avatar, you need to go elsewhere.
Helping deplete the overabundance of T1 meta modules from market while keeping higher metalevels from being depleted.
Helping prevent N+1 in the arena itself (other than from skill levels). If the PVP arena promotes “fair fighting” with a lower barrier to entry than FW (thanks to fit module restrictions that FW doesn’t have), then it can give carebears the confidence they need to PVP, while also eventually intentionally becoming boring (particularly to vets who normally sport bling fits) so as to make players want to move on to “real PVP” elsewhere. This would make the PVP Arena fizzle out in favor of the EVE Universe as a whole since “fair fights” get boring as a while.
For similar reasons, implants could also be limited to at most +3%s and Low-Grades. (Use jump clones to switch to/from “Arena Bodies” if it matters so much)
After the limited the event, the permanent arena should not have prizes, so the only thing it ends up doing is serving as an ISK sink + training ground for carebears (who might not PVP otherwise).
you are just writing here to be write there . … totall groundless… and you havent read carefully
Because what i had writing there was about how we take and embrace some high risk fights and even sometimes we go for fights we nearly sure to loosee… but we also care about our hunger for fights at both side and cherish it…
People who read they can see the clear description of this … but not you so
after this comment …
only i can see is you are here for trolling this from channel …
And you do this intentionally …
i will not answer more and report your tons of other posts in channel which is not related to concerns, but directly targeting other pilots who share their ideas …
this is EvE Online official Forum channel… Not REDDIT
CCP/PA will probably cut to the chase and start selling the tokens in the NES; probably at a high price. Adds quickly to their bottom line, gives the whales something to spend their cash on, and, just like PLEX, can be sold on the secondary market for isk.
The filaments will be obtainable through several different methods (which may change over time and between different events), including as loot from Triglavian PVE content. We will be experimenting with a number of ways of distributing the filaments in the future, so the methods available for obtaining the filaments may change from event to event. The filaments can be sold on the market, so if you just want to focus on pure PVP you will be able to obtain them there. Each filament will have a specific start and end date for its event, as well as information about the details of the Proving Grounds match format for that event.
Again… bring solid reasoning. … people read your comments and up to now we havent seen any single message of yours solid reasoning coming out of knowledge understanding and experience… dont expect to be taken serious under this circumstaces …
Up thread full of your single sentence messages only contains spreading xxxxxxx on other pilots
And history full of examples with ruined open world pvp games ruined by instanced pvp …
Why does anyone need to justify this to you. Its obvious you have a closed mind to it and just proceed to argue for the sake of argueing.
Once again…easy concept. More options in the sandbox is good.
Injectors…its going to kill the game
Alpha clones…its going to kill the game
Now its…another option for gameplay that I don’t like…its going to kill the game.
Of course if you come with an argument you need to some points/opinions knwoledge and understanding to anchor it too… Thats what we are doing here … evaluating the reasoning… You dont need to go for cheap tactics like exagreation of the situation…
SO tell us why instances good in sandbox game … while history full of example games damaged by them …
Event already start with 10 days run and it will take place with some brakes untill OCTOBER 2-11
Next 4 months

This means actually people who would like to run those sites will not only spent 15m inside the arena … but spent half an hour to hour or even more depends on if its fleet fight… + Pople who dont want to use isk they have to go and do PVE sites and use time to drop those filaments…( we dont know even drop rates… how long will take ).As you know sometimes all fleet members moove their ass and undock from station for start fleeting can take even 15 min wait everybody be ready … and all these activities consumes times and that time frame is taken from the time needs to be hunt in PVP zones … so … Less fight possibilities for us who stay at stomping grounds… around 2 hours barely for many players for example who came home after work and eat put kids to sleep and then some little valuable time frame to play … consider …
current set up doesnt bring any limitations so 5b pods with 500 million fitted frigates in the arena still real possibility… or a single abbysal module real value 500 m isk …
Other reality is real competetive pilots with experience they generally dont want to enter TQ and they dont want real killmails… currently there is 2 big organisations in EVE 5v5 skirms and Monster Reborn running that kind of competetive events and they have nearly 1000 pilots in their dicords and nearly all competetive lvl Pilots i know they all there …
Eve Is Sandbox game … history full of examples of how open space games ruined by instanced PVP…
Eve online is one of last castle true representative of Sandbox game and also reason many players who is fan of PVP in this context …
yes that was precisely the reason he pulled negative attention. we are expecting him to be as our representative and as ambassador to listen different opinions and hold bit more neutral ground … Not strongly holding one side while clapping for that trying to convince other side that their worries are groundless …that something we reacted … He is here As Represantative … and has different position than rest of us … holding ground here is not the right place… this is place where he can fulfill his position with more neutral standing … Mike also stands good from first momement … but he never attempted to break through his position … that was something we all respect… and none of us come with
any single complain
I know. That’s why I’m making suggestions for the “permanent” rollout when it eventually happens (we all know it will). As for the 5b pod point, I added to my original post:
I also updated my original post to indicate only non-abyssal mods would be permitted
It will ruin his gameplay. Instance PVP has been repeatedly established to hurt open world pvp games. Eve doesn’t need battlegrounds, instance pvp or instance pve. Instead ccp should be looking for ways to improve the open world game. To sum, I hope this dies in a fire.
