Which is from CCPs marketing point of view really bad. They baked new expansion and very few players will actually benefit from it. Disaster, and it would be a hat-trick now, judgeing from last 2 years of developement.
You donât think that the current plan for these enchantments is really bad? that any hope for balance will be totally shot?
I think the abyssal stuff will screw any balance, and that will be compounded by richer players combining them with storyline mods to compensate for the hit on fitting costs.
To balance, you need to have a point to which you balance everything else. I donât see that point now. Mutated modules have a potential to be better than DED ones, in power. So longer webs, faster props etc. You will compensate fitting flaws because imo power is the strongest value. In sake of what? Stale pvp? To add those modules wonât be good in fleets because of differences between them, so solo/small gang. Will you take the chance with mutated gang? If both gangs will be mutated what will it change?
Thatâs easy enough to mitigate through brute force, pick the common denominator minimum value of the abysal that you want and simply keep creating until you have enough for the fleet fit. Of course only the bigger fleet fielding entities can do this, but that just means any smaller group has even less chance to challenge.
I can only see this making the rock/paper/scissors more extreme
