I think he is asking for that different game that would be available to him and others that want eve independent of pvp. This option would mean you and everyone else that loves the game as is would NOT have to join him. The ONLY reason anyone on this thread would react against the PVE only request is realizing that the current game would, well, Vern Gosdin sang it best—the suitcase down the hallway does the talkin…and sunset faster than even the announced New World game has stated.
And yet when an existing option was offered up, people continued to talk about pvp and pve in EVE Online. In fact, the OP has yet to respond.
But on the other hand… what do you do with your loot you get from a PvE server? If your ships never get destroyed by other players then why want anyone mining ore/gas/ice? Running Escalations would be pointless as noone wants to buy the loot.
See.. losing ships means someone has to build a new one for you.
The idea of a pve server is great! Just don’t mix the 2. Pve server gets prices set by CCP. And all the sheep stop winning on the forums.
Aint gonna happen, just saying.

Go look up what the Trammel server did for Ultima Online. That’s exactly what you’re suggesting here.

The problem with a pve only server is that the price for materials will drop so fast that only dedicated miners would consider staying while just stockpiling.
Remember the amount of materials to build a titan.

Unless you remove players assets from sisi to scout, that’s never coming back and too much work for CCP while they have a cash cow on their hands.
They could easily have had a tv show like Fallout, but greed/dependable income keeps them constrained.

Now that sounds like fun, but CCP had to go and ruin it.
It was, for about 5 minutes. Highsec ganking is harder and more engaging.

Been asking for the same thing for years now. They could even add “concented PvP” in the form of “dueling” where both parties will have to accept the “duel” before it kicks off.
You mean like the duel system that already exists?

Pretty sure they mean a duel system where they have to accept a duel request before we’d be allowed to do violence to their ship. The one we currently have just allows two people to fight without Concord blowing up whoever shoots first.
I don’t get it…you mean he is talking about two fleets instead of two pilots? Two pilots is covered by the current duel function…so he requests something for two fleets and not two pilots, like war, but where the defender has to accept war first?
Or are you trying to say something else? The current duel system is done by request to the target and can be denied?
They want the duel to be where they can consent to pvp but if no duel, no pvp.
