So what is the current duel not doing besides exactly doing that: you have to consent for two pilots and it only lasts for the time of the duel?
Again, they want that to be the only “consented pvp” they dont wanna be attacked by “pvp” outside of a duel. Ie unconsented pvp
Not a lot of PvP in Jove space.
Current scenario: If Player A doesn’t accept Player B’s duel request, Concord intervenes and both players lose their ship when Player B attacks Player A in Highsec.
Carebear scenario: If Player A doesn’t accept Player B’s duel request, Player B cannot do anything to Player A, at all for any reason.

I think you need to make an effort to play eve?
No time at the moment, too much other stuff going on in life. Full time job, family, new season of Diablo 4 with a new class, building a 40K army, and that’s just the stuff I enjoy.
I’ve still got a bit over a month until the training for the restructure of my backpack fleet is done anyway, so no rush to play Eve.
Then you accept the consequences.
Consequences? What are you rambling about? Did they lower the dosage on your senility pills?
If you want to be lazy and get popped, so be it.
Again, what the fu¢k are you rambling about? Please point to anything I’ve said that implies people should be lazy in Eve.

Without PvP, you won’t enjoy the game.
The economy wouldn’t work; you wouldn’t be able to sell anything on the market because everyone would be completely self-sufficient.
Eve needs PvP and the destruction of ships, stations, etc. for the market to function.

The only risk in Eve comes from players. There’s no PvE content that you can’t optimize a fit for safety, except maybe T6 Abysses, but that’s the timer you’re really fighting there, not the rats. All you need to do is sink enough ISK into it, which is no issue if there is no risk of players shooting my ship for the expensive modules.
My last loss is a good example of this. I lost an Ishtar to my own mistake, not noticing the dread spawn in the last wave of the Haven. Had other players not been a threat to me, I’d never have done that site in an Ishtar. Carriers are best for solo ratting, after all.
