PvP vs bullying

Please tell me more about this.
What are they doing? I havent heard of this before.

Oh yeah the sheer stupidity of some of these
gankers spending all this excess money for Strat cruisers to harass small time players is the highlight of idiocracy considering they are yielding a negative profit to the point it would be more prudent for them to hit ships of a larger size class to actually yield a profit.

Yeah but Im asking what is it they are doing?

Is it based of profit? Why is it always equated to some sort of hard factual correlation with anything? Low resolution reasoning for actions others take to justify their own insecurities.

Camping ore sites and stuff like that

Do you mean outside of HS?

Some of that actually borders on racism, which in our new world of PC political rules is even worse the bullying and harrassment.

It IS bullying and harrassment, you numpty.

I didn’t say it was part of the game of football. I said it was PVP.

I had to laugh at this, because years ago I was playing in a final of a Sunday league near the end of my footballing time. And I was a central defender, we were winning one goal to nil and their centre forward elbow charged me as I went for a header smashing me in the face and causing me to have a nose bleed. The referee was useless, however I got my header in and had cleared the ball.

I got up, shook my head then walked over to the guy and snoted blood all over the ■■■■ head, he threw a punch at me and got sent off. We won the game and I have the trophy on my desk.

Funny…, reminds me of Eve forums at times.

Tackling somebody for the ball would be PvP because that’s allowed within the rules of the game, punching someone for the ball isn’t in the rules and thus it is an illegal action; one likely to attract the attention of both the Police and the governing body of football.

Legal and illegal actions being determined by the rules in play.

PVP isn’t always legal action.
PVP occurs outside the construct of “game”.
“Game” is just another word for “reality”.

Sometimes, you people flash a child-like innocence that makes me think there is still hope for you.

I’ll take 32lbs of whatever you’ve been smoking.

Indeed, a game is usually a form of fantasy, which is generally used as an antonym for reality.

Being unable to separate the two is a cause for concern.

All fantasy occurs within reality.
All games occur within reality.
What “fantasy” does football occur within?
If I win the Superbowl, do I go to ‘real’ Disneyland or ‘fantasy’ Disneyland?

I am dismayed to still be having THIS conversation. It should go without saying that logging into Tranquility does not suspend reality or your participation in it. Just think about the consequences of your assertion: I could live forever by playing a game in which I lived forever. I could evade a real world scenario, like being shot down over Iraq or paying my taxes, by logging into EVE on my laptop. I could play all day without having to feed my infant child and that would be okay.

In reality, what happens in our minds REALLY HAPPENS! What happens on Tranquility REALLY HAPPENS! What happens in a boxing ring can kill you. What happened in an AOL or CompuServ chat room can lead to pregnancy or prison time (or both). It is not distinct from reality, but only distinct from OTHER reality.

“Game” is a perspective. “Reality” is a perspective. “Play” is as perspective. “Combat” is a perspective. YOUR perspective of an event is not necessarily the same as someone else’s. And, perspectives change. A bully understands this innately, but maybe not explicitly.

Human suffering can occur anywhere a human can exist.
