Could perhaps just remove stabs from the game, or limit specifically the type of ship they can be fit to.
As much as I like to occasionally hunt a stabbed farmer using a cloaked astero, I can understand the need to disallow cloaking if you think bots are making excessive use of cloaks inside a plex. Iâm sure my little side project of hunting stabbed farmers is a minor use in comparison. (i also doubt the seriousness of people saying they cloaky hunt in plexes, probably only as a bit of a joke)
edit: disallow wcs inside the plex, yes 100%. but under the condition you add a caldari navy wcs to their lp store. and also rework the Maulus Navy
Wouldnt be possible to remove its stability effect in site instead of trying to figure out how to prevent people from refitting in site?
That would affect a lot of things, way beyond the scope of what they are trying to do here.
How much of a performance hit would it be if the gate check looked for WCS in cargohold as well?
Awesome! Just Awesome changes!
After the years of suffering the plague of farmers and botters. Finally⌠weâve got at least something. This is a good sign. Please donât forget about the FW, there are still things had to be fixed.
Passive capture % decay would be a damn nice thing. It wonât affect much if someone will decide to take system with a plexing fleet and in the same time can help to defend systems which are plexed on occasion.
There are other ways to warp out. Like staying aligned to warp instantly. You just need to watch your surroundings and choose a point in space to align and warp to.
I totally understand you wish to appeal to those who have been complaining about WCS in FW for a long time, but isnât this just going to mean botters in higgs rigged ships pre aligned? wcs were a tool only, remove those and there will just be other tools used.
ah well, at least Rixx will be satisfied for a few hours.
You know there is another reason to not couple capture to not having WCS!? When implemented like that you can easily disrupt capture by just putting a stabbed ship in the plex. I donât think this kind of trolling will introduce good gameplay.
As large FW complexes have no gate will this change affect them??
This is not a solution for me.
I would prefer that the venture be banned from all outposts, as well the stabs and the cloacking devices.
The fact remains that it would be possible to cloak itself at 50/70/100/200 meters from a large. But this is part of the game, it is always in the LS.
Another option would be to remove stabâs from game and add stab effectâs to certain shipâs where it is needed.
Prospect, endurance, a t1 hauler per race, maybe a dedicated smart bombing ship (Maybe a cruiser that can fit large would be really cool) 1 type of mining barge and its T2 viarent and so on.
This way it would be much easier to ban those ships from the siteâs rather.
I disagree with those saying to remove stabs from the game. They have a valid use and by allowing a module to impact warp strength, people can adjust fits to their needs. Plus, itâs fun catching a battleship with 6 stabs equipped because we used a HIC with scripts.
However, disallowing a stab in FW is a goid idea. For those complaining about the venture, I would not stress so much. Ventures can only pit on a small tank and have limited DPS. You may see them in novice or defensive plexing, bit for offensive plexing they will not be able to handle much more.
As for cloaking, I think they should be allowed.the problem with preventing cloaks means the only way to catch people in a plex is to get lucky. At least with a cloak, you can limit the window of time on dscan to a small amount. Yes you could so the same with some recon ships, but I think more options are better instead of limiting people.
Combat recon, or very agile ship with long point (dram)
Yup. In 6mo time we will be back to the old whines: warpouts before point, ecm, and sub- 1mil ISK ships.
I just canât wait for people to start calling for module exclusions in other areas of the game now that the cat is out of the bag
So nothing that can cloak while approaching novice or small plexes, and you are limited to 4 ships at most. Again, seems extremely limiting, especially if you do want to try catching ventures in novice plexes.
If ventures + warp stabs are banned from plexâs why would one need a cloaky to hunt them in the first place xD?
As someone whoâs first isk making efforts were offensive and defensive plexing with stabs, I support this idea. The only benefit stabs gave me was to be less vigilant. If somebody jumped into the plex and locked me up, I had plenty of time to casually warp out. Thatâs not really in the spirit of the game (though I still gladly did it).
People would still be able to run plexes and avoid PVP, but theyâd have to pay closer attention to d-scan and their overview - as they should.
