Please add an option for sizes of wrecks for MTU’s to ignore, would be great if it could be a permenant option so we didnt have to select it each time we drop one.
Whats other peoples thoughts? I guess launching multiple one for each size could become an issue, perhaps make the proximity to another mtu for anchoring alot higher?
You can’t place 2 on grid as they will fight over each wreck. Size of wreck means nothing it just pulls first what is closest to it
If you want fine control over which wrecks you want to pull you can use tractor beams.
MTUs are dumb automation which already made tractor beams and tractor-beam ship bonuses almost entirely obsolete. MTUs are good to use in most wreck-pulling scenarios, but if you want to grab one particular wreck or wish to ignore certain wrecks you can use tractor beams instead.
yes I know, so the suggestion is to be able to choose not to pull in small wrecks

If you ask me I’d remove MTUs to let tractor beaming a site in a Noctis be a profession again, one that has been all but automated away from the game with the MTUs.
It would make loot worth a lot more, give new players a cooperative option to make a nice amount of ISK with low SP and gives ships like the Noctis, Porpoise or other ships with tractor beam bonuses nice boost in usefulness which especially the Noctis needs.
Adding convenience in games has the sometimes unintended consequence of also removing gameplay, and the convenience of MTUs removed the majority of ‘looting’ as gameplay. No more gathering wrecks to loot or flying by the wrecks to loot the valuable ones, the MTU does it all for you automatically.
Now I realize it’s unlikely that CCP at this stage in the game reverts that decision and removes MTUs again, so I won’t ask for the removal of MTUs. But the least I can do is to ask them to not remove even the last reason for players to use targeted tractor beams.
MTUs need no buff.
