Quantum Cores - Updates begin 8 September

So for the WH’s that have Forts, sotiyos and other large toys in WH’s how do they get a Quantum Core? This hole plan is Valid but i think you should make it any new structures should need one. Just grinded together as a corp to get a sotiyo and now we need to pay 10B ontop of that ? Guess we will go kill someone elses sotiyo for there core. which if that was the intended role then job well done.

If you are living in a big enough WH to have those big toys, the isk grind should be easy, unless you are doing it wrong.

Everything except a Sotiyo/keepstar core can easilly be transported in a DST. Fort/Sotiyo will be the big issue for those as it’s pretty much freighter/JF to get it to the hole.

@CCP_Dopamine Inquiring minds want to know (aka, my corp members are freaking out) will this have any impact on current abandonment mechanics, or is it just another incentive for us to hit structures?

omg, you must be american since you’re doubling down on it.

ok https://zkillboard.com/kill/79029347/

You seem to think that the Imperium can’t afford this expense. That’s laughable. Bare in mind, they are still getting their portion of the TTA… nevermind how much they get from taxes and other forms of income…

This change isn’t going to hurt the large coalitions at all. Small corps are going to feel the burn; and in J-space… this change is going to dramatically change it… and I don’t think it will be for the better. J-space is probably going to end up losing more population.

Since major alliances can probably afford another 30b per keepstar, doing absolutely nothing to major alliance structure ‘proliferation’ or dropping of ‘content’ structures - reducing the core cost to 25% of the planned amount would help smaller groups. The lower amount would still be a significantly increased “drop” for attackers, versus what they get today.

While I agree that CCP made it confusing by calling the sizes 500m3, 50km3 and 250km3, any logical thinking would lead you to place the spaces at the following places: 500 m3, 50k m3 and 250k m3.

It confused me as well initially, 250 km3 is pretty large after all…

The TAX man is here!!! Wanna reprocess in my structure? Want to build something there? wanna do anything? 75%tax to structure owner, oh and a jump clone 10,000,000.

If you can’t grind up the isk for the structure, you don’t deserve to own one, kid.

I dont pretend to think that GSF cannot afford this. I was merely pointing out the fact that you pay more to keep what you have. Later on in the thread I pointed out that if you do not want to invest more into your structures and decide it’s not worth it, you have until January to get it unanchored and scooped up.

If these cores are very large (seems they are) how are wormholers supposed to get these into small wormholes that have structures???

One would conclude you don’t.

Edit:

But looks like CCP will be doing something to address it for y’all.

Deep Space Transport can fit LG structures and smaller. This seemingly is going to hinder the ability for a keepstar/sotiyo in anything smaller than a C5.

TBH How could they have missed that LOL

Could we have a Self Destruct button open to the CEO of holdings corporations. for those of us with 40 plus athanors

You seem to be under the assumption that they actually play Eve Online.

Right? It’s not like CCP has a history of neglecting wormholes and lowsec and all other areas of space that are not nullsec controlled by massive null blocs, oh wait…
