Quantum Cores - Updates begin 8 September

Removed some disruptive posts. Knock it off. Only warning.

Despite my opinion on abyssal content, I actually engage in it myself. In fact, it’s the only PvE that’s held my interest since wormhole sites many years ago.

But still, it’s instanced content. It just doesn’t belong in the game, no matter how refined it is.

Admit it, not everybody can spend undefined amount of time on a game.
Between my work, my wife and my kids I hardly can find time to login, much less - to actually play game nowadays.
Say, I’m logging in to check my market orders. I have to fly through Niarja be damned to reach those in Jita. Made a mistake, hit the gatecamp and die. In any other time I would get another ship and do some shooting to relieve post-cloning stress. Medics highly recommend it, you know. Right now, though, all I can do is log off and switch to other tasks, because I simply don’t have that extra time.
Just a personal experience.

I still don’t see the quantum cores change as one worth the effort to implement it. Could just have changed the materials price at the same time.

Sounds like you made a series of life choices that have led you to this point; a point at which you can’t spend much, if any, of your time on games, especially on time-intensive MMOs.

This isn’t EVE’s fault. The game isn’t obligated to be dumbed down from its original vision and intent just because you decided to make babies.

I do agree that they could have adjusted the baseline material costs of citadels down a little bit in order to compensate for this new increase. Maybe not by the whole quantum core cost amount, but half or more.

@ISD
Amongst all that cries and gnashing of teeth, may i ask you - what is the status of a ESI Endpoint - Triglavian Invasion?

Pretty low numbers for a Friday nite…

I actually fully agree with you Callifrey Galliente. this seems like a very very stupid idea.

while yes it is indeed incentive for ((gankers and wardeccers)) to attack and blow said structures. it is also puts people off even corps that are like say 20-30 people… it would put them off as well… regardless of what anybody that negatively replies to my comment says. (likely gankers and wardeccers themselves) to be honest i don’t even see a point of having athanors etc in even 0.5 space now as moon mining pretty much excuse my french here. but crap to put it in the right terms… thanks to ccp for the huge moon nerf. soo yeahhh i shall not personally be owning any player structure as it isn’t worth it. if i get hate comments etc for my view in this post… then so be it.

umm maybe because it saves real money per month. sure you would have to grind grind grind way way crazy to get even the required amount of isk needed. but it is possible to do.

which by the way before you go and say ooooh so you don’t pay for your omega directly with real money… well for your information i actually do pay for my omega which costs Ā£10 per month. gee i remember way way back in the old days where you could just buy 1 plex activate it and youd have a months game time… if you brought two plex you would have 2 months game time etc. but now to even be able to do that. it takes 500 plex to just have a months worth of game time. hence why i pay the Ā£10 per month for my omega. shrugs.

…you cannot be serious…

serious back in 2013 thats all it took to get a months game time… was 1 plex that was it… and now it takes 500 plex for one months game time.

oh bless you, my child, and may God have mercy on your soul

first of all bub… im not a kid… im 32 yrs old thank you very much… and as anybody else that played eveonline back in 2013 could tell you… im not lying and it is not bs. so think whatever you like.

lol, that wasn’t the point, but sure, whatever.

SMALLER PLEX

The first component of our plan is focused on making PLEX more flexible. Currently, PLEX is rather large. By always existing as a one-month chunk of subscription time, PLEX can be cumbersome to buy and trade. We think it would be great if it could be broken into smaller units that fit your needs rather than always being bound to the size of 30 days. With that in mind , our first planned change is to convert every existing PLEX into 500 PLEX. After the change, anything you could get for 1 Plex from CCP will instead require 500 Plex. This new PLEX granularity will allow us to sell smaller PLEX packages, and allow you to trade whatever amounts you like with each other.

and i rest my case. people back then preferred the way i mentioned that is my point. who seriously wants to grind stupid upon stupid amounts of hours days weeks etc. to get up to 500 plex in game… and yes i saw the blog the whole point being you can buy plex directly from on their website… but again it shouldn’t have to be where you have to pay Ā£17 to get 500 plex in one go. ehh whatever…

[citation needed]

also, kid. the devblog is showing you that THEY ARE THE SAME.

1 of the old plex was converted to 500 smaller units of plex. this change was done so that people could purchase smaller amounts of plex and feel like they are making progress, rather than having to save up 1 billion isk in their wallets they couldn’t touch (because they were saving up for the single large plex).

now, people can easily do some pve, purchase 17 small plex a day, and by the end of the 30 days, they’ve got the 500 units needed to subscribe.

if you actually are 32 years old, but still cannot connect the dots, the i really hope god has mercy on your soul, kid.

ooh i see. soo your saying that they have made it cheaper for people to buy 500 plex with in game isk… i think not. anyhow good night god bless and eat space junk.

No. unable to connect the dots AND poor reading comprehension, dear lord.

it’s not cheaper, it’s just divided in to 500 smaller chunks. together, those 500 PLEX is the equivalent of the 1 unit of old PLEX prior to the division.
