I agree fully that it is theoretically possible that some elite PvPer might decline to share their impressive killboard, but it is also unlikely, as any such individual would naturally want to demonstrate their undeniable excellence. It’s like running into a homeless person under the bridge, and they tell you that they are actually a billionaire - it might be true, but you’d be a fool to believe it.
This also indicates that you have low skill, as most people don’t feel the need to mention that they can run PvE missions. The obvious conclusion is that you are a noob.
Well I’ll save you some time: I’m not an elite PvPer and I don’t claim to be. That said, I think my opinion on how High Sec functions is just as meaningful as anyone else’s.
What? I wasn’t bragging. Having access to T4s enables me to replace things I lose relatively easily compared to, say, some new guy that skilled straight into mining barges.
It’s not difficult to become an elite PvPer.
If people can see that you’ve done some kind of small-scale PvP in the past year or two, you’re pretty much an insider. The barrier to entry is very low. All you have to do is go get a few solo and a few small gang kills. Seriously, like 5-10 such kills in a year would be good enough to show everyone that you’re not some alt-posting carebear pussy. Being an F1 monkey, bashing undefended stations, or leeching onto CONCORD mails by being an anti-ganker leech don’t count.

I have ambitions for the pirate alt I moved into null, but I’m still getting a general feel for how the economy works out there and how to move around without getting dead.

That’s true if a person has one main char, but people with multiple chars might not necessarily want them all linked. Eve is a place where one can live multiple different ‘lives’.

Then those people should come to terms that the record being shown for their “forum main” represents them in whole. I have other characters too, and if I combined them all I’d have over 1,500 lifetime solo kills and enough points to possibly be ranked in the top 100, but for the purpose of integrity this and only this character is effectively “me” and represents my total accomplishments in this game; the rest don’t matter.
Unless I’m willing to share my entire roster, which I’m not, because those characters would get blacklisted from most major groups.
