There have been periods, during the 3 focus time, when people would grind influence as fast as possible,
then immediately end the focus in all 3 spawns at once. keep this up for a few days to weeks and you have substantial disruption of people’s isk flow, which was used to put pressure on various communities or people at various times.

Totally off topic, but man I miss the days when ‘newbros’ were even accepted in BC’s into HQ fleets.

No, it’s not true.
Once you gear up for a raid and get the loot from it, then it’s yawn worthy doing the raid and you can recover from epic mistakes.
You are mistaking incursions as being equivalent to the newest freshest highest level raid out there, while they aren’t. They are the 5 year old, 3 expansions ago raid, which you have the gear from and the next set as well.
Want to see why, go and take a T1 BS fleet with nothing better than T2 fittings into an Incursion with 95% of the players having never done it before… See how much harder it becomes suddenly.
The fact you think T2 fitted T1 BS are newbie gear is a sign of how badly your perceptions are skewed on this matter.
Take most MMO’s, before people run the raids to get the gear, they CLEARLY DON’T HAVE THE GEAR.
Total myth. They happily allow people in starter fits into fleets. And nothing stops you making your own fleet if you feel they are too snobby for you.
Your posting just looks like you got told no by an incursion community once and now you are out to smear them.

man I remember doing shield fleets in an officer heatsink legion… I kinda miss it… back before the drone assist nerf, 930 something pulse dps plus an entire fleets worth of drones. It was so good frigates didnt exist, they just didnt lol
I first started incursions in 2011 in a t2/meta harbinger! I flew that untill i upgraded into a t2/meta gun hyperion. lost a couple of battleships to noob mode and took a pause while i trained up cap skills and logi 5 then flew scimi untill I could fly my mwd arty loki and so began the obsession with executing frigates going on to fly the legion for nearly 2 years as well as building a hilarious RailGoo fit that worked, but sucked due to ammo lol

Do incursions. If you are not doing incursions, it means you have something better to do. If you have something better to do, it means that that something has lower risk and higher reward. Which means it should be nerfed, and it should be nerfed before CCP nerfs incursions (checkmate!). If you are doing incursions, thank you for all you’ve done to the community.
There is risk. Look at the number of incursion ships lost. RISK!
If you want risk to be larger than reward, you’re ruining the game, because every time you do something you’d be gambling against the odds. Why the ■■■■ would you want to do that.
The payout for incursions is not even enough. We’ve got bling ships on the line, we have to afford those bling ships, that is hard.
If you think incursions are so damn risk-less, do the goddamn incursions. For example that guy on top who said WTM doesn’t do NRFs, you probably didn’t do a single incursion before, WTM is newbie friendly which means they have fleets at almost every timezone. They do the TCRCs because they have no contest. Recently because of the virus, TDF is getting more people, so many players and FCs joined TDF that’s why sometimes they’re not running.
Tell me those tricks please… I’ll need them to make some incursion group great again. (this is a sincere request. really)

Sure. I didnt do a lot of contests in TCRC. But why dont you join the discussion instead of posting a single point and saying that I have no clue about what Im talking about.
What is the number, versus the number that doesnt die and gets paid successfully? WIthout those, your claims are meaningless.
People start in WTM dont have blinged ships. I started out in a Meta 4 rokh. Cost me maybe 300, 400 million at most. I made that and change in a day.

So youre saying that the person above who said WTM doesnt run NRFs to avoid contests, hasnt run a single incursion before, because WTM runs sites that have no contest, and therefore do not run NRFs?

Sure. So WTM is an elite community. Right.
Because that changed with the Leshaks, any power bash is going to have a hard time, and forget NRFs because the snipers can’t carry the load and Vindicators have to move to much.
Doesn’t take terribly long for a shak to spool, and when it does its DPS is closer to a HAW dread than a vindi. Nestors also twist that a bit since most of the logi is also doing north of 500dps. Last few TDF fleets I saw were only running enough Gards for combat cap.
I was talking about before, when TVP was still up and Leshaks didnt exist.
So when one group is doing a TCRC, and then a second group with more Leshaks than the first come in late, wouldnt it benefit the second group to stall the MTAC and repp the HQ so that they can end up applying more damage to it?
