You serious bro, or just trolling?
As it should be. Nullsec is for PvP conflict, not for random NPCs to show up and take the focus away from player interactions. If you want NPC factions to be relevant then you can play in highsec/lowsec.
Wait, wut? Nullsec is a huge NPC farm. In fact, the main point of Fozziesov is to let the empires farm more helpless NPCs.
Yes, but youâre misunderstanding what I was saying. Every conflict in nullsec is between players with no NPC involvement. The NPCs in nullsec are merely a passive resource to be harvested, they never take any active role or present any meaningful opposition. You could replace the NPCs with more asteroids and the result would be almost identical.
Contrast this with an NPC invasion, where now NPCs are driving the conflict and giving unearned advantages to player factions. Thatâs what was unacceptable and had to be removed.
Seems reasonable.
Pretty much confirmed earlier today. Only hi-sec will change to low-sec. And it will be permanent if it reaches Final Liminality . There will be no other sec changes. Once changed no changing it back to Hi-sec.
There really is nothing to be gained for Edencom as low-sec wont change to hi-sec.
It can be said that as things are, thereâs too much high-sec space to begin with. Most of it goes underutilized. At the very least, the way that space is clustered is too consistent. I wouldnât be surprised if this entire thing is just CCPâs long-term play on cutting up the major trade routes. That is the only outcome that will have any true impact on the game. Just changing a few high-sec systems to low-sec isnât really going to matter.
Also, I really doubt that in the future, there wonât be any game mechanics implemented to allow players to reconquer space for the empires.
Isnât stopping the loss of something a gain?
Edencom can only experience loss of an existing hi-sec system.
If it is already a low-sec system there is nothing to be stopped or gained.
Stopping the loss will only affect those that use it as a main trade pipeline. (shipping items between null and hi-sec)
Part 2 of making resources matter.
No, itâs just maintaining the status quo. And thatâs the problem with this: EDENCOM can only lose or draw, the Triglavians can only win or draw. If EDENCOM ever lapses in their defense the Triglavians win a permanent victory. Itâs a ridiculous one-sided system that needs to have stakes for both sides. For example, if after 30 days the Triglavians have not conquered at least 50% of their targets all Triglavian NPCs/ships/etc are permanently removed from the game.
Well except not losing a system.
If there is a system that Iâd prefer to stay hisec, I will try and defend it.
Unless the defending side has fleets during all time zones loss is inevitable. Just takes one gap in a 24hr period and the system could be lost forever.
This was an issue in Guild Wars 2 World vs World. Didnât matter how well you did during eastern time zone. If you didnât have anyone to cover the pacific time zones all your gains were null.
This was also used in Eve to set up timers so they only expired when your enemies were mostly sleeping.
Which leave the question of Why arent the powerblocs coming up to camp systems to prevent edencom forces from stopping the trigs?
A large group of pilot doing exactly that could pad their killboards when the system flips, and they carve out large sections of empire forcing carebears to lose space, ships, and probably even quit the game when they have limited travel.
Many systems could be cut out of empire, and more if those large groups act faster.
Or are they too busy with farming isk in null because they cant bring their capital umbrellas to the camps.
Because the blocks would then shoot themselves in the foot by disrupting the trade routes they also use.
If a Null block wanted to interrupt a rival then sure, it makes sense. As long as they had an alternate route and their line members didnât mind the extra jumps/risk. And we know extra risk in Null is not a thing.
Atm its in the null blocks best interest to maintain status quo.
Doesnât mean there arenât opportunities for low-sec pirates to disrupt trade pipelines.
What do you think is the reason?
EDENCOM is fighting a defensive war to preserve the status quo mostly. Any forces garrisoned in a system under their command are dedicated to react against any further Triglavian attacks.
Putting them on law enforcement duty as well would divide their forces and attention. Furthermore once a system is secured for EDENCOM at least a portion of the initial force would be redeployed elsewhere.
This is my analysis of the situation, at least.
If total highsec territory shrinks significantly, there are a lot of potential consequences. Especially if the Triglavians take enough bottleneck systems and cut off transit.
The reason Edencom isnât turning low sec systems to high sec is that they arenât invading.
Nope, its just not coded that way.
ROTFL, 400M is nothing unusual⌠many of ships actually used are worth about 500M. To be fair such ships are usually used in fleets.
I just hope that the multi-boxing ice miner who was controlling Raravoss is enjoying this content.
