Ok, so these annoying red dots. There has been many topics on this and many are a little over the top, I want to start one that is normal. Yes the red dots are annoying, no question about that. At the very least we need to be able to turn them off if we want to. Can the Dev’s please address this in instead of just closing the thread? Please give us some reason for this

It’s extreme rare I come here, that or post. But the Red dot drove me here on wondering how to turn it off, so that communication would be appreciated.

When an item first enters your inventory it gets “highlighted” with a red dot on the bottom left corner of the item icon, and you get a notification and a dot (with numbers) in the NeoCom icon for Inventory.

New as of Tuesday’s patch.

IMO people are overreacting to a minor visual queue.

Every time I fit a ship with a module from a stack… PING!

And bright red is a color traditionally used to signal danger or urgency. It’s counter-intuitive. Bright green would’ve been a better choice since receiving new items isn’t dangerous nor urgent. Plus green is generally perceived as a “good” color, and receiving new items is good.

I hope this gets removed asap.

It doesn’t impact nothing - it impacts the UI - some, such as you, may not be bothered, others find it distracting or annoying.

I support the request that if not removed altogether, the option to turn it off should be made available.
