So why waste your legal tender accumulating it over Isk?

that has nothing to do with eve online,
I get the fantasy you want to play a video game and make real money from it due to the heavy time required to play eve online… nah use eve servers for something else like… finding a cure to cancer or finding a new planet… nope nope not this guy… he wants to get paid!!!.

Not really. Theres not reason to buy into something if it ends up being worthless.

I know there is a legal reason why CCP won’t have anything to do with rmt. I remember someone doing a thread about it recently.

The main point was that if this authority were to catch CCP doing anything involving rmt then the legal costs of having to fight their claims could shut down eve online.

So anything involving rmt is a very strict No.

Yes I agree the block chain could have a gaming interface for those who want it, I’m not sure really. I’m just sure CCP can’t be involved due to legal reasons.

something, something 52 word run on sentence.

I’ll take that as a concession your thread doesn’t belong in the Eve online general section of these forums.

Entropia Universe has a real money exchange, but reading their r/entropia I’d say that game is dead.

Good to see you back, man

But I’d miss my stuff too much.

There are other economic activities governments can’t stop, but they can prosecute when such activities occur.

Have you seen the market lately for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Recently they have plummeted in value.

Ok you completely proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt when you brought up A.I. as an example that you are just trolling us. That’s it. CCP, LOCK THIS THREAD!

this thread has run its course and in the name of the beloved ccp falcon…

In Venezuela they are locking up the bitcoin miners. They aren’t looking to stop bitcoin, just people getting it and using it.

Maybe, but I don’t see too many countries wanting to give up their monopoly control over money…and nation states have another and even more dangerous monopoly, the legal use of force against its own citizenry and they’ll use that last one to preserve the former.

And don’t get me wrong, alot of problems with banking and the economy can be traced back to boneheaded policies relating to government and money and banking. So I am not anti-bitcoin, I just don’t see it working too well in this circumstance.

This somehow reminds me of the VR threads.
