Sounds are awesome, thanks for taking these into consideration,
an idea to make these, not only help immersion into the environment that we are, but also something really functional , information that can be used, like some players have already suggested , sounds that aware the capsuleer of possible threats, market offers, or any other information that actually can be useful for the player.
Station announcements that could inform of current local market offers:
Examples:
Gallente:
a short period market offer :
“There are limited time offers of Quafe Zero at this station "
" Special offer ! Federation Navy Comet only 16 millions ISK here, get yours now!”
Caldari
a local threat:
Upon outlaws engaging anyone in local where there is Concord intervention :
“Attention miners! be aware, suspect criminals have been detected operating at asteroid belt 1 , concord officers are patrolling the area.”
Minmatar :
Technical information about ships, modules and consumables :
“Armor plates can improve the resistance of your ship whilst reducing agility”
Market offers:
“Attention capsuleers! , there are currently various low cost booster offers available at this station”
Warfare low security systems
Amarr :
“Attention warriors Minmatar pilots have been detected in the vicinity”
“Roaming fleets are being engaged by Amarr officers at the Amarr Large Complex, All Empire military personnel is requested to undock and assist inmediately”
High security Empire space
“Drug smugglers will be prosecuted at Empire Space”
I tried to think about many more phrases that could be awesome, but already here many other players had made awesome suggestions like the ones of the hangars being unavailable for several reasons… indistinctly these informational phrases can be set for each faction, to achieve this, it might mean a bit of more of a programming effort than just simple phrases that do not really help and , as some already complained, can be annoying, less, of course , when these contain quite useful information passed to the player at a given time when the thing is happening, this might make a more interesting , interactive and responsive station sounds.
“Fantasy is okay, but when it is too much, it becomes annoying. Let’s be more realistic.”
Not to say, unless these sounds are actually useful to the player, I cannot see the point in improving them.
