Reduce EVE online CO2 emissions

Doesnt help when the Co2 emissions are in your home and you are breathing it

Breathing. Animals give off co2.

The way we approach climate change today is equivalent to the way doctors approached illness in the past. They believed if you felt ill it was because you had too much blood and the solution therefore was to drain your blood. They called it bloodletting. Needless to say it didnt help, and kinda made your health worse. That is all.

The analogy being, draining people of money for a problem that isnā€™t a problem.

Dafuq did I just read?

Well hold up.

Back in my early days I wondered why we canā€™t have solar panels on citidels? Why do we need to fuel citidels when we have the sun in New Eden!? This was true! Kid you not. I really wondered why we have to fuel citidels despite access to the sun. :joy:

CCP new citadel modules when? I want to be more ecofriendly in game.

The few solar panels covering the sunny side of the station may not be enough to fulfill the energy needs of these massive space stations.

After all, area only goes up squared while volume increases cubed with the length of the station, and energy needs scale with the volume assuming not much of the volume is wasted space but is used for activities that require energy, like hangars, living quarters, industrial facilities, etc.

Where a small satellite may be powered with solar panels on the outside, this wonā€™t work for something as huge as a moon-sized space station.

Also the solar panels would have to be outside the protective armor plating of the stations, and thus easily destroyed by hostiles in a simple act of sabotage that turns off all your services due to a lack of energy.

Also because if they did it with Solar Panelsā€¦

Then how would ARC maintain a technology monopoly?

You have no idea how true this is. People are trying to separate you from your money, by any means necessary.
Cigarettes are good for you.
Fiat currency is a good thing.
You have a duty to pay for single mothers.
The vaccine is safe and effective.
And finally; the world is on FIYAH!

We have PEGS, we donā€™t need solar panels. :stuck_out_tongue: Seriously though, solar panels donā€™t provide enough power for the scale of usage. Even our ships have mini suns inside them to power our needs.

Im pretty sure solar arrays in space and probably literally right next to the sun would provide hefty power but i could be wrong. But for RP purposes it could be an interesitng idea. It would make real estate closest to the sun most desirable since you wouldnt need to worry about fuel there if stronk solar arrays that only work near the sun are introduced. Kek

And maybe further away you could still install solar arrays but would still need to supplement with fuelings to run at full capacity

Now this I did not know!

So, while we are on this topic. I am not kidding, when I first came to EVE I was kind of exhausted from Star Trek Online right? I was very sad when ships in EVE online did not need fuel to run like dilithum. (Mind the spelling) I thought my ship would explode at 0 capacitor.

Oh man, imagine running an ore burning battleship or something!? :joy: I was so excited for that logistics wise. I would be the man providing fuel to the bigger ships. I was really young back then starting here.

If anyone watched ā€œThe Matrixā€ and the final battle where all the battle suits needed to be constantly resupplied with bullets to keep killing the robots. I always imagined myself as the person to be running the ammo through all the bullets flying.

As you can see EVE did not live up to my space RP world

Interestingly enough, this concept has actually been applied -in- game lore.

The Talocan created a Stellar Lattice around the W477-P star (Caroline Star to those that remember the incident a decade ago).

They basically harnessed the energy of the star and basically -created- the network of connections that became Anoikis. The Stellar Lattice had wormhole gates that connected to one of each of the systems in Anoikis.

When the Sellyin incident happened from the Isogen-5 cache explosions around New Eden, it destabilized the lattice and caused connections to begin spawning all over the cluster leading into Anoikis.

If you know anything about the Stellar Transmuter technology stuff thatā€™s been going on, itā€™s basically trying to do the same exact thing in principal. But as far as we understand with ā€œTriglavianā€ technology.

If you ever have a chance, you should give this a listen to.

The Inheritance Chronicle

It goes more in depth in a much better way than I did. Plus the voice modulation for Veniel, the last of the Jovian Directorate, puts Jovians into a very interesting and almost ethereal perspective.

Definitely worth listening to.

Thatā€™s what powers eve tech. You can basically think of it like a fusion reactor, except with many less moving parts.

Iā€™m intrigued: Did the OP know that turning 3D off is a thing or not? Also. Eve Forums on phone before bed timeā€¦
Just saying.
