Reducing Trade Clones - The Shortest Routes Between Market Regions

Multi-Clone Trading

In an attempt to reduce clones needed for full market coverage I wrote custom software and compiled a list of the closest systems between any two major trade hub regions. This information is relevant to traders or industry players- anyone who might manage market orders in several regions, and it can help reduce the clones needed to manage orders or to maintain full market coverage via remote buy/sell orders.

Region A Region B Distance Route
The Forge Domain 5 Hykkota ↔ Akhragan
The Forge Sinq Laison 1 Perimeter ↔ Iyen-Oursta
The Forge Metropolis 1 Fuskunen ↔ Ofage
The Forge Heimatar 3 Fuskunen ↔ Wiskeber
Domain Sinq Laison 1 Basan ↔ Esmes
Domain Metropolis 6 Mahrokht ↔ Eszur
Domain Heimatar 4 Mahrokht ↔ Auga
Sinq Laison Metropolis 1 Colelie ↔ Bei
Sinq Laison Heimatar 1 Egghelende ↔ Siseide
Metropolis Heimatar 1 Hek ↔ Eystur

The distance between route systems and their respective trade hub is at most 15 jumps, so level 4 skills in Marketing and Visibility is all that’s required to reach the regions trade hub from all of the above systems. An interesting part of the data is that Sinq Laison is essentially the most well connected region from this perspective- it’s the only region that’s directly connected to every other trade region.

For quick, 1 jump access to trade hubs, only 3 clones are required for a couple combinations above. For 2 clones you can easily maintain full market coverage if you park in Fuskunen for Jita/Rens/Hek and Basan for Dodixie/Amarr.

Single Clone Trading

Using only a single clone for trading across all regions doesn’t have any surprising short-cuts, however, after using fancy math, frying my CPU and permanently fusing my RAM, I’ve discovered a very special place is actually perfect for a single trade clone- Amamake.

System Domain System The Forge Sinq Laison Metropolis Heimatar
Amamake Mahrokht 5 Akkio 6 Egghelende 2 Egmar 2 Amamake 0

Not only is Amamake a very central system between trade regions, but it itself is the largest lowsec trade hub.

Looking to me like you don’t want to work with other people in some form of community, but instead want to do everything yourself and are getting annoyed at how it’s not a simple thing.

Easy way to reduce clones needed, is to find a person who has a similar interests as you who covers a different region, and then become their friend and work together with them.

I love to meet new trader friends!
