I still think not being able to spin gives capital ships a good feeling of āthis ship really is huge it cannot even turn within a hangar this largeā.
But I agree that I would like to see the capital ships from more angles while docked.
The current camera angles feel limiting.
I would say its now more a capital garage then a hangar.
But the capitals āmaterialize ā in there.
So why they need to move at all 
But in terms of visuals.
We got skins and lights and a ship intro.
The normal hangar in a POS has so much to offer.
Starting and landing ships.
Camera flights to the next ship.
You can even see the damn frigates from beneath.
But its not possible to see the butt of my dreads while docked and they oddly materialize. What i find very not fitting into the whole universe

Update coming for carriers, but spinning isnāt returning.
I support this post, not only spinning is no more, but the way the camera moves is really annoying.
For those complaining that the ship should be undocked, the problem affects player structures, that have tether. So undocking wouldnāt put said ship at any risk anyway.

I never understand this question by people who do this activity, seems to me if people want to PVP others thereās nothing to stop the activity, could combat always use tweaks somewhere.
Why do people who do PVP think their activity is stifled, you can do this literally anywhere which the small caveat of high sec.

I really love the new position capitals are anchored at. But why, why, why this awkward camera movements every time you click or drag the ship? I want to spin my Ark!

Iām in favour of spinning the camera while docked in a capital ship.
Give us more camera freedom!
I still think not being able to spin capital ships gives a well designed and intuitive impression of the sheer size of those ships, but I donāt see why we cannot use our camera more freely in the open space around docked capital ships.

I do not think so. I do not actually want to spin my ship but the tiny camera drone that provides the look at the ship. And it would be amazing if I could fly all the way with the camera drone from the front of the ragnarok to its very end
