Okay…
First, a lot of people enjoy the new ESS content.
Second, some people are making a lot more money from the DBS. In fact, I’ve heard that some groups are moving to the borders between nullsec and lowsec so that they can get easy access to NS and LS ores, and so that they can use the increased system traffic to beef up their DBS multiplier. So, the problem isn’t the system, it’s that you aren’t adapting. Now, I understand that your group is currently involved in a war, and that this makes focusing your efforts on increasing incomes under a brand new mechanic difficult. But this isn’t a flaw of the system. So either suck it up for the duration of the war, or go join a group that will allow you to focus on your turbo krabbing.
Third, I won’t say that the system is perfect, but it is most certainly better than the way things were. So, I’m sorry that CCP’s attempts to make the game better mean that you can’t keep doing the exact same thing, in the exact same way, for the exact same amount of money. That must be really hard for you.

I spent a few months in wh space and got so bored that i hardly did any ratting. Doesn’t mean i cant damn well tell you they make ridiculous amounts of money there.
The risk / reward ballance here is absolute bull ■■■■.
Half my ■■■■■■■ effort goes to ■■■■ every time i lose the ESS to some ■■■■■■■■ i can do nothing about either because it’s too many people or im not even online anymore bacause im not setting an alarm clock to scedule my ■■■■■■■ “work day” in the “video game” im actually playing for PVP, not because i enjoy flying circles around ratting sites so much.
Why wouldn’t i complain!?
And since so many of you insist to embarrass themselves with speculations about my PVP skill:
As i said, PVP is expensive if you don’t fight like a little girl, HS gank bear and coward with tincy tiny testies.
Enjoying and providing interesting PVP content, unlike the stupid ESS.

You’re not going to have to worry about ESS at all pretty soon unless you find a better alliance. Helm’s Deep is starting to look really nice.
I am sure that you have PvP chops, and that this character’s KB is not representative of your skill. But this tangent does nothing to further the discussion on the ESS/DBS. So, how about we all put our digital penises away. I’m sure that they are all very handsome and impressively sized penises, but they don’t need to be out for this discussion.

Nice, as you’ve correctly noted i live in a war zone, my home system has at least 170% DBS modifier at all times. Still if it gets hacked i lose money.
The alternative is to “adapt” and use a titan bridged response fleet to kill anny and all ESS intruders. Should be easy enough once we’ve kicked tapis ass.
I can already hear the winging and moaning when all the Olmecas come back out of their holes to complain how unfair the use of titan bridges is.
Still meaningless, stupid, easy, worthless ganks, just like any time i do have corp mates arround or some poor fool thinks he can win a solo fight after i had 5 min to look up his fit on zkill and pick the right ship for the job.
Im not only complaining because i my time is being wasted, im complaining about the whole stupid concept and execution.

Wait, what percentage is going into the ESS? Is it over 41%? Because if it’s anything less, you’ll always come out ahead with 170% multiplier. And if it’s over 41%, it would depend on how much over and how often you get hacked. I need more info, because I’m curious as to how you are making less money with a 170% multiplier.
Second, other careers have to deal with ninja looters, site competitors, and getting ganked on their way to market. So, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for there to be the potential to have some of your money stolen, and that you need to be able to protect it.
Third, easy frags or not, killing players is always more interesting and fun that grinding the exact same sites for hours on end. I don’t understand. I know gud fites are preferred, but how are easy kills a waste of your time (especially if you’re also making money)?
While I commend you for finally posting your link, objectively, these stats aren’t that impressive by virtue of most of those kills having close to a hundred parties (and sometimes more) on them. Mechanically going down the overview and volleying targets one at a time is a fairly mindless activity, and the risk inherent in using standardized battlecruiser setups that are probably recouped via SRP is low. You’re basically trying to pass off quantity as quality.
Now, if that’s the kind of PvP you enjoy, then fine. But your complaint here seems to be that you aren’t getting both exciting PvP action and rewarding PvE activities at the same time. Well, the reality of the game is that you simply won’t get both at the same time. The game just isn’t structured that way. But there’s still hope for you to get the most out of this game, if you have an open enough mind.
When I started playing this game, I was somewhat like you. From the tales I heard from friends and people I met in the game, I idolized the null-sec way of life. However, I quickly learned that it wasn’t all it appeared to be. It was essentially a second job, and I wasn’t even part of groups that were particularly bad in this regard.
In 2008, I left null-sec for good, and became a mercenary. A successful one, too; just in this corporation, we made on the lower end of 12 figures from fees and ransoms during our active periods. After wormholes came out, I split my time fairly evenly between them and high-sec. And I turned PvP from a rote, mechanical routine into a dynamic experience that actually made me money. The amount of action I got decreased by 90%, but each kill or successful op I completed felt 100x better than they did before. I went from flying generic redcoat setups to using multi-billion-ISK ships and fits that enabled me to fight in ways I couldn’t imagine before. I started to enjoy EVE considerably more than I did previously, and made actual friends instead of merely acquaintances.
You seem to be bitter and dissatisfied with the game. Perhaps you should perform some introspection, because you might find that your long-held beliefs don’t hold up to your own scrutiny when you evaluate them objectively. Maybe what you truly need is to drop your prior notions of how EVE needs to be like, and experiment with other play styles.
Although, to be fair, CCP has done a pretty good job of butchering their own game over the past 6-7 years. Things seem to be taking a turn recently, but it’s too early to come to any conclusions.

The tick pay out is about 15% less then what i had under the old system. There is a lot of traffic so when i log off or am doing something else odds are it will get stolen.
Then there is worm holes and filaments so 10 - 20 man gans show up at least every other day - alliance doesn’t ping for something like that, corp mates are all over Delve, doing other stuff, in other time zones.
A 6 min window is verry rarely enough to actually form a response large enough for that.
Restrictions in the arena make it verry unsuitable for fighting outnumbered.

Im busy enough replacing bait myrms and pvp ships, especially since CCP found it necesary to take a ■■■■ on null sec economy.
They’re mostly a waste of time for the people who get ganked or get a miniscule pay out for doing nothing for a while.
Been there, done that. Just the other day i carried 20 mil out of AJI-MA with literally 30 testies in local, a couple times i got ganked stupidly, but NEVER did i get a worth while fight in one of these things.
I guess if someone tries really really hard they might be able to earn half as much ISK as one of my myrm alts on a good day.
I don’t value ganks any more then i value the kills my alts get. I’ll do it, and collect the loot but i’d much rather have an actual fight with propper fits and no time to prepare.
I guess if you’re the HS ganking type you might also enjoy seting up a system as trap and make 1/10 the income you’d get harassing war dec targets.
I could not execute a solokill even if someone set one up for me.
