Greetings, Capsuleers.
As the elections came to an end I was horrified to see the amount of piracy taking over the Federal system of Dodixie. It seemed like a flagrant violation of freedom of speech for those who seek to support their candidate to be consistently destroyed whenever they sought to offer their favor to their chosen candidate.
Last night, pilots of the Minmatar militia allied with, ironically, pilots of the Caldari state to ensure capsuleers got a chance to turn in their favors and let their voices be heard before the elections would close properly.
I want to give my thanks to all the pilots who flew with me last night, particularly the two State Pilots, and the Circle of Vheroka pilots who helped us keep the sites around the candidates clear.
Special thanks needs to go to Strahlenkater - The “unsung hero of dodixie” as I’ve sometimes seen him referred to on other channels for his relentless defense of the democratic process.
I’m honestly disappointed such efforts were necessary. The candidates should never have established such outreach centers without adequate security measures, and it’s shameful the Federal Navy made no real effort to secure the system at all.
But I am proud that in an ocean of embittered capsuleers keen to leverage every situation to their own advantage no matter the cost to others, there are still pilots out there willing to stick time, effort, and ISK into fighting for the greater good.
I’ve been told some Federal capsuleers were also active on grid around the same time. If so: You’re the bright light keeping the Federation alive.
