Oh yeah, this is a valid point. I think the focus of the game has changed for the worse in a way.
While in the past it was like “join one of four empires, four different faces of humanity”
Seems like today it’s just like “Join the AIR Career program ™” and “Anchor your Upwell Citadel ™”
The latest game mechanics have all been about avoiding the idea of “empires” and doing joined ventures like Edencom and such. So if new players are not that invested into the story/game yet, how should they know what even Minmatar Space is @_@
EMPIRE T1 and NAVY. concord or soe have t1 ships? Vedmak t1 ship but trigs not empire faction. Edencom not a faction. SOE ships in market in PIRATE section. ANd as i remember when you login first time after event start you can see picture with restricions
I’m not quite understanding why and what for are you aruing. Is it arguing just to argue?
I’m just saying - let’s make event UI more friendly and less confusing for everyone. You’re saying: read patchnotes. Ok, in fact i agree with this - reading patchnotes is important and everyone should do this. But let’s come back to reality - how many players actually do this on a regular basis? Especially - new players? I think only CCP knows the rough answer to that, but i’d be surprised if this number is bigger than 50% of the playerbase. And even if we do - aren’t all of what was written above just too confusing? Do we really need consulting to lore specialists before playing a regular event?
