Not resolved. East Coast Australia unable to login for past hour.
Same here, East Coast Australia, can’t login to Tranquality, however Test server works fine.
Same. The connection to the server was closed (client). The initial connection between Cloudflare’s network and the origin web server timed out (secure.eveonline.com). Not resolved. (I’m in!)
yeah, on optus in sydney, still cant log on this afternoon… doesn’t seem very fixed to me
was able to connect earlier in the day but was disconnected an hour ago and unable to reconnect
IInet here - same logged in earlier then it stopped responding and wont log back in - singularity works fine.
I notice Chaos is streaming so may just be southern states
FTTP connections via Launtel (Melbourne) and Future Broadband (Sydney) both fail - was working about an hour ago until a forced disconnection.
Sydney with TPG and have not been able to connect at all this evening
Hello there, fellow Shelbyvillians. i too am having login issues. NSW
thanks CCP for working on the issue, we appreciate it.
Based in Hong Kong, same issue.
Do CCP monitor this thread? Maybe someone needs to tackle their Twitter account (I’m not a twitterer
able to log back in
yeah i got in again
I am back in now too. Sydney, AussieBB, for what it’s worth.
But that doesn’t mean the issue has been identified and resolved, only that the symptom is not occurring for now… @CCP_Arcade, @CCP_Explorer, is this still on CCP’s radar?
Yeah, I’m not sure Twitter’s going to be working for much longer either…
Hey,
As per CCP Explorers reply, it looks like this was a local internet issue rather than any problem with the Tranquility server. Best recourse would be to contact your ISPs.
The majority of Australian connection issues only effect EVE really. I’ve been having DC’s for over a year and have stopped playing EVE for this reason.
Eve netcode still uses long lived connections which do not work in a modern internet environment where cloudflare is the norm. A reroute by cloudflare sees instant DC’s from tranquillity due to this even if its just a change in the reroute and as this can happen often not only in Australia but around the world it makes Eve unplayable at times.
Fix your code, allow reconnection attempts rather then a straight DC on a connection change and be a modern game. We are no longer in the dial up days where a loss of connection means you’re unlikely to get back online because someone’s on the phone When Australians can have no issue playing far more demanding games with players around the world without issue but EVE is still lagging far behind.
Also as Australian internet is governed by a national infrastructure provider ISP’s can’t do anything and won’t even try.
Yeah, no. Both you (@CCP_Arcade) and @CCP_Explorer are at least partially wrong here. I agree it’s unlikely to be an issue with Tranquillity server itself - but it’s very much an issue that CCP is responsible for - and that’s the way the game operates over long distant latent network connections, and CCPs decision to use Cloudflare as a security/CDN service.
There’s too many ISPs having issues for it to be a local ISP issue.
The last mile certainly is - but in this case that’s irrelevant, because this absolutely is not a last-mile issue. This has nothing to do with last mile, with AVC, CVC, POIs or even RSPs (ISPs on the NBN are called RSPs for $reasons) - it’s a problem that’s happening further upstream than the RSP networks.
As per my screenshot above, the error is with Cloudflare and Eve Online. This is clearly shown in the screenshot - it’s produced by Cloudflare, if I had a local ISP issue and couldn’t connect to Cloudflare, how could I get the screenshot? Further, other Cloudflare protected/delivered content was working just fine at the time, it was only Eve Online (website and game) that wasn’t.
In summary - it’s not as simple as a Tranquillity server issue - but it still sits within CCPs sphere of responsibility. If you want to publish online games globally, then managing your net code and how you secure and distribute services over long distances is absolutely your responsibility - and throw away “it’s your local ISP, we’re washing our hands of it” comments that clearly don’t match the evidence are not helpful.

I used to work with this guy in tech support who would always tell callers to reboot their computer and their internet. Printer out of ink? Reboot. CD won’t burn? Reboot. Fax machine jammed? Reboot.
Are you using the Cloudflare warp client?
Disconnected and denied reconnection AGAIN
