People who are complaining about exclusive content are completely ignoring that they, too, could have easily just planted themselves into one of the systems. Just like I, and many others, did. They’re also forgetting that they had PLENTY of opportunity to gain standings with the triglavians by working against EDENCOM. They had literally months to gain standings. Just like I had.
I did not try gaining standings the easy way, by just following the group running sites. I kind of regret it now, but it’s how it is. Unlike the apparently younger audience in here, I understand that my actions have consequences and that I sometimes have to pay for them. Sometimes, though, I just need to be smarter than the rest.

You should see what’s happening in Raravoss.
There’s people already settling there, really hard.
Seeding the market, planting structures and taking down POCOs.
Those guys were really smart.
And in another system there were NPC fleets fighting each other.
Rogue drones, drifters and triglavians.
No kidding, a huge amount of wrecks and tons of loot.
This “exploit” makes you get a standing tick each 3 or so minutes. You get +7 in like 3 hrs.
So, a ratter which kills sentries will get a rep tick each 15 minutes (base tick time) and gets same standings at 15 hrs. And he would not be an exploiter…
By the way, right now I am putting up a ratter alt to grind edencom cause you put filaments inside of them. So I would not ruin my standings. Never had an alt before. It all still works in your favour in the end.
Makes me wonder if the mission agents will still send you to these closed system. If they were taken out of the pool or however it chooses the mission system.
What’s funny is that it seems that’s exactly how standing are supposed to work. You do something against the enemy of someone else and that someone else increases your standing. You mess will Amarr and Caldari will adjust, right?
And a lot of them did. Now they are in that one system. They cannot take the Pochven internal gates to explore the region without standings, as gates in Pochven are standings locked.
Actions do have consequence and some of us decided to stay out of the war. I was 100% aware of the consequence of choosing a side so my decision was to remain neutral (yes that means the Triggies would still kill me)
HOWEVER, CCP changed all that with the derived standings gain. Now there is a post from CCP Sledgehammer confirming that its intended.
Being told that going about your daily buisness could be considered an exploit is rather disconcerting.
Going forward this muddies the water somewhat because farming content, speed running, standings boosting, cherry picking and doing things similar to this “exploit” is very much the New Eden way. (and fully accepted by CCP)
Yes, I know that. All I have to say about this, was what I’ve said about it to myself. That I should have insisted on me and my corpmate running the stupid sites, which was possible for months. All it took was warping with the fleet, back and forth, to gain standings easily.
It was quite apparent that there was a certain importance to this activity, that it will end eventually and that we’d all be better off doing it for one group or the other.
Nothing you’ve written changes the fact that people, who complain about not being able to take the gates, only have to blame their lack of foresight. I blame myself for the lack of foresight. I was aware of the fact that I should have done things and now I pay the price for not doing them.

I did in fact participate in this content. I ground the damned sites for four months, I pvped in liminal systems, I cracked which stars the trigs want, I built a prediction system for when to expect invasions, I handed out ships and I FCed fleets. Day in, day out, for months.
I still have no access to new content. Why? Because in an event advertised as a battle between two sides, I picked the wrong one.
In fact, I am further away from being able to use those gates now than someone who did not participate at all.
And no, there is no and there will not be similar content for Edencom. No, I did not “fight for status quo”, I fought because I was interested in the content and the content would have been pretty boring if everyone interested in it would have picked the same side. I did not expect trig space to be easy for me with my standings (I expected a challenge and hellcamping NPCs and being shot at by Zorya’s kybernauts). But I sure af did also not expect not being able to move around there at all.
If you are doing the same thing you did before the Triglavians were introduced and that becomes a player exploit after an update - then it’s not an exploit - its a design flaw or code error.
Either that, or the developers just have no idea how their game works. It is as if they set out a mousetrap and the mouse stole the cheese without getting caught. Clearly, the mouse is to blame.
The exploit is a change in behaviour though, not doing the same thing.
I swear, people can’t read, the initial post is perfectly clear as to the exploit.
Hope so Don’t like to intentionally cheat! I just want to keep a small +standing with the Trigs so I can explore there in future. And simultaneously keep +standing with EDENCOM so their f**king gatecamping fleets don’t whack me while I’m still learning the ropes in hi-sec systems (Only been playing for a couple of weeks).
Please tell me those players loose their standings? I’ve been grinding for 3 days and only have 0.7 tri standings from shooting eden
Edit 0.07 standings Will be able to enter the triglave area in aprox months, I should have exploited like everyone else before it was an exploit sux being an honest person and paying the price becuase CCP are to scared to punish the exploiters.
