Limited testing by “special” people (inner test team, CSM or some such? no idea). Basically they let a few people in first and if that does not crash the system they let others in…
However, it looks like they tried and it did not work. TQ is back to total 0 now again…

Huh…on my end it doesn’t even say “VIP mode” or something like that. Still “unable to connect”

VIP is somewhat misleading. Essentially it means that only developers with certain roles on their accounts can log into TQ. Typically QA or developers who have deployed features so they can jump onto the server and check things look okay before giving players and the other devs access.

There’s plenty of requests for outlandish compensation, but let’s be serious, this is happening way more often and taking way too long to just brush it under the rug. Give us SOMETHING, I don’t even really care what. I was in Abyss in a billion isk ship that I don’t have the liquid funds to immediately replace, so the ticket I’ll inevitably have to file to get my ship back (that CCP destroyed) will add even more time on top of the lost server time before I can go back to doing what I was doing.
