Hmm. Null is not a place for solo players. Low is not a place for solo players. Wormholes, well they’re definitely not a place for solo players. High security space is a place where solo players screw themselves.
I live solo in Null / Wormhole since 2007.
I’m very disobedient
If you had actually bothered to read my entire post instead of picking one minor point to bash me like a troll you MIGHT have saw the reason I want to make ammo is becuase ammo is not sold in every region, every system.
I just checked, its not sold in my current system. The closest ammo is outrageously overpriced.
So You think I should make 8 jumps, 8 potential gankers (ridiculous risk for ammo imho), pay outrageous isk for small ammo, instead of being able to make it myself because CCP has a problem, which I understand is with a few long time, ultra skilled players abusing the system, and they feel the best way to fix a problem caused by the rich few is to screw the middle & low class, i.e. newer players?
I never made ammo in all my time playing. It’s cheap and small cargo capacity. A viator can get past almost any gate camp if you aren’t dumb. Just don’t go thru Niarja.
If you go thru null, a t3 can work too.
If you live in a specific system, you can pay a jump freighter to move in an infinite amount of ammo. You could even sell it local for huge markup.
Anyone discussing how Sov Alliances will fair with these changes? I can see this will be a strain on them as they do rely on Jita after large wars. More frequent JF runs will need to happen, Is there a chance some Sov Alliances could collapse if their hisec mineral routes are camped in a determined manner?
One can be a solo player in null, it isn’t impossible. back in the day I used to rat in assault frigates due to being outnumbered 20 to 1 constantly, eventually local superpowers saw it was a waste of time trying to kill a 30mil ship.
I think it would be difficult to camp in JFs. They should be in alt corps with no citadels for war dec.
It will definitely take an immense amount of JF runs. I know some people will do t1 freighter runs and they will probably die. Certainly will be interesting to watch.
I agree, also they may have to take a look at jump fatigue as it would be wrong to keep that in place due to the increase in imported minerals. Perhaps reducing it slightly might be the answer.
Even in the most remote areas, prices are going through the roof. Even things not mining related are getting jacked up price wise.
Its not really promoting trade its having the opposite effect. And other players are trying to avoid areas of PVP especially with the over proliferation of T3C ships in the low sec arenas.
I have pointed out as well. If a corp gets the real bright idea they will just find a lowsec gate isolating a bubble of high-low-null. And just lock it down. Solo players really have no options in this regard. Now however, it may become important to now keep eyes on mission “mining” aka the little added materials in the missions for resources.
Fully possible, and the gank operations and Code are notorious for such attacks even in the height of High Sec. So I am concerned that a really carefully planned out “Interdiction” operation with ganking will cause major problems overall for supply lines. However, keep eyes on isolated high sec pockets. That is where the real action will start to concentrate as Sov Alliances begin to lock down and muscle in on “protected” mining regions. That do not require long range trade mission to Jita.
This is the problem that CCP is kind of not understanding. If you make a simplified response, the counter action is going to be quick and efficient.
You know, it’s all good…Que sera sera. Either it’ll work the way CCP want it to work - in which case “Yay!!”, that’s exactly what any Eve vets want : new blood being invigorated, more hooked players sticking around and more content for addicts - or it won’t work, in which case new players never develop beyond a few days, semi-hooked players give up and go play some other MMO and the old warhorses slowly die of boredom.
Simple really. Me ? I’ll just sit on the sidelines for now, log in a few times a week, run down some isk subbing my accounts, buy some popcorn and enjoy the spectacle whilst enjoying the intriguing machinations of Crusader KIngs III for a while. Whichever way this “redistribution” thing works out is ok by me…either the game will be worth getting immersed in again from my perspective, or it won’t.
Right now, for me at least, it’s all just got a bit pointless…but perhaps that’s just me needing a break.
Item prices are going through the roof because people like me spent all their ISK buying up what they could. Ccp is TRYING to reduce ship production. Obviously, this will raise the ISK cost of each ship. This isn’t a bad thing. Production is too high.
low sec gates to high sec are already heavily camped. Often they camp with cloaked ships waiting for a juicy target. Go to tama, aurohunen, etc. They have been there since Eve began. Solo players need to adapt by using trade to acquire everything. It’s sort of like crying about needing moon goo when all the best moons are in null.
Am I correct that there will be no ore in a c1 Wormhole? I’ve been having a blast recently mining spodumain and crokite and hauling it out. I scanned down all the anoms in the hole i live in today and there were 2 exits to HS and a relic site. Literally, nothing to do. Am I missing something? I’m pretty new to WH space.
