Resource Redistribution Update

But there are regional differences in ore availability, this is important. Currently, the regional differences haven’t mattered because there has been such a massive oversupply eve of the ore that is irregular for a region. Its hard to predict with out some pen and paper to see what the effective reductions are going to be, taking into account the DNA changes in ore, but if it is regional differentiation that is desired, this at least moves towards it. Don’t know that it will fully, but its definitely not staying the same.

The worst part about all the changes the last two years are that it took people years to acquire the skills to be able to play a certain way. And after all that time, subbing, paying real money, buying plex, what they dreamed of doing gets nerfed to a point that its no longer viable. Talk about crushing the hopes and dreams of players. All while showing how little you think of the players investment in your company.

I use to have fun, but recent changes over the last few months have turned this more into an extortion racket. “hey kid, that’s a nice station you have there, it’s be a shame if something happened to it” So i am forced to keep paying my subscription and safeguarding my corp mates stuff. We have been friends for years and I will honor that. If we had Asset Safety in WH’s, i’d take down the station and unsub, but CCP has me indirectly (as im sure many others) by the balls, so hear i am, paying for a service i no longer enjoy, for friends i respect. Right now i wouldn’t piss on the CCP’s if they were on fire

Im not saying i agree with all of the changes being made but if they are implemented as they are currently suggested then im cancelling my paid subscription and wish ccp all the luck in the world.

History shows they wont listen but by god theyll listen if their subscription numbers tumbles.

they need to clear all the stashes!
recently returning players loged in just t ogive the Goons few trillions worth of moon materials and money and what not. such occurances can destroy the economy.
after this “starving phase” new rules for ore will be implemented.
ppl not reading is the real problem. attention span decreasing is another problem!

Bad ideas do that.

Thing is if this many of us think it is bad, then there were many internal voices that didn’t like it either, they were bullied down.

This feels like a push to force more players (miners) into low-sec (0.4 to 0.1) space.

CCP has yet to stop and think about any of the dumpster fire changes they have made the last two years or even admit what a failure they have been. CCP is just lost, hoping to squeeze every last penny they can out of the players.

yup- well organised, high SP mining fleets WITH a defence fleet protecting them.
thats the future.
solo mining? thats the past.

Yes… Love you CCP.

For those leaving can I have your stuff.

look if you mine in low sec is better for you to join the militias or the pirates
they do mine
but if you don’t join them for protection i will kill you so much that you will not make a dime

this hurts

CCP:

I see that you try to move people into losec and nullsec, to facilitate more pvp.
Apparently, that’s known as “content”. And that is probably fine for many.

However, not for all. People play games for all sorts of reasons. I have no time to train up my pvp skills and lose a ship two times a day. I play the game for relaxation, blinging up and generally no stress. Hisec mostly gives that, and that’s fine. However, it seems you are pushing me out into losec to have any enjoyment - and so I get the feeling that the money I pay for this game is somehow less worth for you than the hardcore pvp players.

Ding ding ding. What is healthy for the economy may be healthy for the economy and say market traders and such, but does that make it good for the game in general? I think I said something similar a few months ago during one of the previous ore shortage phases of this redistribution campaign, but you’ve said it better.

I just can’t believe they’re taking the nocxium out of pyrox… looks like plagio gets quite a boost from being the only trit+mex source in HS to counteract our INSANE STASHES OF PYERITE from how the mineral balance used to work.

Umm … lol?

PvPers don’t want to sit around and defend. Miners don’t want to do it either.

Alternative: find another game to spend your money and time on.

This is honestly as it is written makes my game play sucky, I might take some time off and see in a few months where the game is.

Nah, was referring to the move of ‘valuable ores’ out of Hisec (like omber). I get most of my Trit from repoing unwanted gear from rats. It’s the other stuff like Iso that I focus on mining.

So it seems like they just want more players in the low/null sec of EVE.

Likely, to create (read force) “epic battles” to spring up so they can market it, and boost subs.

Basically, these changes are to create marketing material: MINER LOSES $5000 IN ASSETS!!!, TWELVE HOUR WAR TO DEFEND RORQUAL!!!, etc

Yeah CCP loves shafting wormhole industry

Will ore be removed from deadspace missions.

Cheers.
