It seems pretty simple to me. They want more people to have more accounts, which drives up the price of plex. This in turn makes it more profitable to buy plex and sell on the market. Over all it’s about the bottom line and less about players actually interacting with the game.
The thing I think they are missing is, that if people actually end up spending less time doing the things they enjoy, because they are doing logistics etc, it makes people want to play the game less. This is not to distract from the people who do this. I have to take my hat off to them.
No, Destiny Corrupted, I don’t want to buy your minerals. I want to mine my own.
I agree that: “materials…be available in ALL levels of space. That want ANYONE can at least build basic T1 stuff”.
No it doesn’t matter. The argument was over the impacts on personal income and wealth. whether your income per day has gone down by 5 isk per day, or a widget that you buy every day costs more than 5 isk, it doesn’t matter. It’s also a completely false narrative that there will be a shortage. Importing it may cost more, but it doesn’t mean there is a shortage.
FYI, ratting is not the only thing botters do. Also FYI, reducing prices when everyone has less money doesn’t make anything more affordable.
I’m not obligated to respect your style of play, and I only belittled your “indy skills” after you belittled mine. If you don’t like it, don’t act that way toward other people.
why not send a 7-year-old to a correctional facility for teenagers, maybe because he will be physically and mentally destroyed. In eve is a big learning curve big isk wall imagine what it would look like near spown systems at the gates would sit gankers and destroy newcomers who have no way to defend themselves and dont even now the game. just for salt as they call it. newcomer doesn’t buy covert ops to get out of the mess area.he still had no idea how to play or what corvet ops is. High sec is important in this regard and more not only this argument.
I’ve heard that reference before, regard AD&D, and I have to agree. I hate when I’m told what to do in RL, but I do so because in some cases, I have to. But in a GAME? I expect to enjoy the game as I wish, investing in it for as long as I have. I do not appreciate someone telling me how I’m supposed to enjoy it. Imagine the DM telling everyone they are all dead instantly, when he/she doesn’t like the way they played the scenario. No more DM…
I see nothing in the notes that indicates the existing regional distributions are going to be altered. Every region lacks one of the ABC ores and the small supplies of ores from outside of ore signatures are being reduced. My space doesnt have crokite. It really hasn’t mattered because there is more hemorphite and hedbergite in belts within a few jumps than I can mine. Needing to import nocx could introduce an actual difference between my space and someone else’s space that does have crokite.
If it wasnt for the fact that i have a Fortizar in a WH and a bunch of casual players with no chance of leaving relatively safely, I would have been gone a long time ago. But i have a sense of responsibility to my corp mates and safeguarding their stuff
Affordability is the only thing that matters. In fiat currencies, (which isk essentially is) the numeric price of a widget doesn’t matter. its percentage of income and ratio compared to other essential expenses are the only things that matter.
Are you one of the people that think in real life, 15 dollars an hour is a magical number that solves all problems?
That was my point: They AREN"T doing that. I trust Arrendis to tell me how doing THAT instead of THIS would play out.
What they’re doing isn’t going to drive conflict. It’s about what they COULD have done instead.
you are doing it wrong
eve is a game, its supposed to be fun
its not about responsibility
the biggest isk sink in the game is guys like you
hoard many riches and them quit
they say if you quit you win
i say if you don’t quit you win
dont quit , find the fun
