who cares how many capitals or super capitals there are? this is where the game has been heading since the inception of those ships and THIS is the solution you come up with. this is friggin terrible.
this really is the slippery slope to EVE’s death. GF JOB!
lol…hey at least they’ll be a way to get trit in null… by reprocessing. It matters because even at the cheap cost of say a year ago, most players were reluctant to toss them into the fry and blue donuts even more so.
What bothers me is that it would have much more consistent and direct to just add a maintenance fee to hold those super caps–than it’s in the players hands and a hard limit on how many a group would be able to support. Combine that with some less severe changes to resources (as well a lore–what the heck…no trit in null…makes no sense really), and they probably could have nudged things in a more coherent direction.
Regardless of all that…change more often than not are still good…with mixing up is opportunities for fun.
All of them, the only exception was Fawlty7 who told me years ago that he liked it when he was twelve so I guess that counts.
I was expecting Orca’s, but at least you will do it properly. Have fun.
A lot of people have breaks and come back, though it is a bit complacent of them to go out and say it, still he has a point. A couple of ex-corp mates of mine were about to come back having taken a three year break, but when they saw these changes they started to hum and hah. Though they are both waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 and wanted something to fill between games. I just got a game I wanted to play years ago for €4.99 on stream so I am good. See you in May 2021 then.
I think it’s funny that people who are upset about the changes forcing people to trade and losing the full value of their labor in regards to owning the means of production.
You DO realize this is Economics 101, right? You DO realize that by complaining about this and wanting CCP to give you back the L I T E R A L means of your production is the crux of Marxist theory…right? Complaining about these changes that reflect how IRL economics works is you waking up to how basic trade functions and why capitalism is unfair for removing the means of production from people.
Yes, socio-economic philosophies totally alter where in the Earth’s crust valuable ores and minerals can be found. If only there were a way to keep those rocks from rapidly moving themselves around whenever someone comes up with a new philosophy!
The more I think about this… the more I just don’t give a ■■■■.
CCP needs to deal with the ezpz botting issues and the 1%er nullbear no-lifers plus it helps kill a centralized game where people just build it for free because they ‘mined it for free’ or they go nowhere else other than Jita for their trade.
If they keep changing the game will it still be Eve? Yes. Will the same players still be here? Maybe. But the legacy code will slowly be replaced, the baldes of the servers auctioned off for charity. Some devs leave and others replace them.
and big changes can cause some to leave more swiftly (or say that they are going) Me? I am staying, trying to make sense of this threadnaught and take the honest feedback back to CCP.
Well you have just killed the game off for new people! also the limited part-timers like me who mainly do boring high sec, which has now got even more boring! I cant afford to keep buying new mining ships for lowsec. Covid has hit my finances, I’ve already shut down my other account! Not all players are in huge corps who login together, some players are solo or micro corps with limited time like me and just mining veldspar is the future
Yep. This craps on miners. I can go spend my monthly on something else. Just unsubscribed. And don’t worry … I won’t let the door hit me on the ass on my way out. Oscar Mike.
Some forms of gameplay are dominated by people who don’t have careers. They don’t need them or maybe they will tell you they have one.
Eve is their career. They have spreadsheets just to make sense of where all the characters and accounts are. Some bot and some don’t, too hard to tell so you can’t really police it.
Therefore, these new changes are amazing because it forces people to have fun.
You should be thrilled as you will earn more mining veldspar in high sec. Maybe you make enough to plex your account even! Why do you view this as detrimental to you?
It is not a bad change, it is not a good change, i couldn’t care less about this change. If i was forced to play this thing i would stick to L3 missions, give them nothing and quit in 2 weeks.
I don’t like being told how to play. I thought this game was a sandbox.
