Reward for winning a proving ground battle is underwhelming

You know what they say about idle hands…

The instant action sounds like fun but there’s a catch.
Waging 3bil for an event doesn’t sound like fun to me.

A drunk one.

Haha! That makes too much sense for some people.

Look man, you have to be blind to not see that the reason that arenas are structured this way is because CCP’s goal is to make extra cash from this, and not to give you a fulfilling and rewarding experience. They want you to dump extra money on PLEX, because you’re too busy doing arenas to farm some null-sec shithole or high-sec missions for ISK.

Pretty sure the whole game is being structured around this way now, but can’t help but try… Silence won’t do anything to change.

Pretty sure they shouldn’t be rewarding anyone for this trash content. If you’re looking for PvP you should be out roaming, not sitting in an instance. Dont buy into this ■■■■, the day this is the preferred method of PvP is the day PvP is dead.

This is instanced pvp. It is a way to get a “good fight” without roaming 20+ jumps or risking a dishonourable escalation be dropped on you. The rewards are the loot of the enemies you kill.

wow 15 million isk ! WOW!

Doesn’t match the risk and cost of the ship required to fight in this event.

There is literally no incentive reward wise to continue playing in the event once you’re in the top 100. No difference in reward between rank 4-100.

The event needs something to drive players to continue to play.

Just because the sandbox is terrible, boring because really, what fun is it to roam around for an hour not fighting anything just to get dropped by capitals or outnumber… wow alot of fun the ‘real’ pvp is, doesn’t not mean the pg event should be punished and not rewarding.

That event needs to go away.

Exactly, but the guys that can REALLY give a good fight are all quitting the game. CCP should be putting incentives in low sec, not instancing stale honor PvP. RvB already does that way better. The only thing the PG event does is take more players out of the pool for content. The pg content is terrible for this game and any self-respecting PvPer should realize that they’re shooting themselves in the foot by continuing to participate in it.

lol. this is too funny. Instead of attacking a very fun event, why not focus on the real problem with the current state of the game. There are way to many systems in the game. Need to knock out at least a third of systems…

Anyway, that is off topic. This is a thread about the reward system in the proving grounds. There are 1 to 2 PG events every month. You have no proof that this takes away any substantial amount of players from the ‘real pvp’ pool of content.

I would say the PVE Abyssals are more the problem.

Now I know you’re delirious!
If anything, there should be MORE systems.

Which needs to go away.
I know I said it before but it needs to be repeated.

Way too many. Once a year would be ideal.

No need of proof. Any idiot can figure that all by themselves.

What’s the connection to the thread?

Red-Sonja! You have won! You beat me. I know you can’t compete in the proving grounds so you compete in these forums. Well played. GG.

You know what else is a good way to “get a “good fight” without roaming 20+ jumps or risking a dishonourable escalation be dropped on you”? Hitting “Escape” > “Quit Game” and then starting up a quality FPS or a MOBA in Steam.

If you need arenas to “get good fights” in EVE, then you’ve either been brainwashed by CCP and their null-sec strongman puppets, or worse yet, brainwashed yourself to such an extent that you probably need shock therapy to break out of it at this point.

:joy: That’s cute. Really.
