So still kind of new to Eve Online and notices some of the slots have high negative attributes. This got me thinking and figured that there should be a rule of gain for such slots. Basically the way this works is if a Rig has say 10% bonus the negative attributes can only be 50% or 70$ less than that so say you get a bonus for an item say 100 the negative side of things would be -50 or -70. Generally the negative affects from a Rig should be much better than an similar item in a mid slot.
You referring to the drawback? You can reduce that by training the rig skills. No need to mess with rigs
The rigs are pretty well balanced, I see uses for most rigs, even those with negative attributes.
Sometimes the negative attributes matter, but the positives outweigh the negatives. Other times the negatives are too much, but then there are alternative rigs better for that situation. Or like Geo said, you train the skills to reduce those negatives.

Ok sounds good I am still a newbie to a lot of stuff in the game. Guess I need to play more before making suggestions.
The drawbacks are to prevent excessive bonuses in particular areas to a ship. If you’re concerned about the drawbacks when applying the bonus there’s a strong chance you probably need to look a little deeper into the implications of both.
I can’t think of any examples right now, but if you specify a rig and it’s attributes we can probably give you a heads up why a rig has a particular set of attributes.
