Rookie in Corp Marking Everyone as "RED"?

So this rookie I took into one of my corps is marking people with the worst standing for even the most minor infractions. I would not have noticed it, but as I was docking into Jita RED exploded into my overview. I asked what was going on with all these new reds, they responded with, they are “potential trouble makers and future targets” after he gets his omega ship working.

I give him proper respect for getting so zealous about the game PvP. He did go omega recently and is planning for his first cruiser. Eventually he plans leave my alpha corp and create his own. I was wondering, if there is a mass reset of corporate standings, when he does leave the nest?

I have no real issue with him marking all these people red. If I did, I could just pull that ability from his membership. I am just hoping there is a batch reset method when I do.

So, full confession, when I was a little nubble in Conoban, long before I ever heard of the mighty CODE. I wandered into a lowsec hellscape called Mara. What a place. I concluded that anyone there was up to no good, and began to set them and their entire alliance red. Before long, I had set the entire game red, except for one alliance called CODE. which never ever left Highsec. Since they had the highest standing, I joined them and have proceeded ever since to hunt down all the reds.

To be honest, it is not just people who destroy his ships. He has set people to red for being “suspect” and told me there are a lot of players who have killrights posted on them ( no doubt about that ) but I wonder if he is also ticketing the litterbugs who explode their alts at school crossings?

Thanks everyone, I will keep looking.

Perfectly valid choice also in accordance with PvP traditions, they might get revenge someday, then they will remind you of the reason. :eyes: :innocent: :smiling_imp:

Just you wait till you realize once he left your corp he set you and your corp red as well.

Why is a newbie allowed to set corp standings? They should talk to the leaders first why they want these people set to red.

The rookie will hopefully eventually learn that once everyone stands out as potential danger, no one stands out.

In my corp, we sell this to new players - 1 billion per standing.

Maybe just reconsider what “new rookies” should be allowed to do or not do in your corp.

I did exactly the same thing when I mined in Mirilene as a noob. I saw a member of some corp flashy red at a gate. and set the entire corp to red. In fact it was, and still is, a harmless mining corp but a single member would gank sometimes.

Awox To attack and destroy the ship of a pilot in the same player-run corporation without warning. (Derived from the name of the first widely known EVE pilot accused of such behavior)

Awox himself said we should rename this to Aiko

Why would you give a rookie corp-wide control over anything?

With new players like you out there they should be afraid.

Maybe, I wouldn’t hold it against him.

This is a player who I am educating in a “throw away corp” I told him I would gladly give him this corp, but he has already started his own. Also this is teaching me in the corp management. Divisions, etc. all read like I am trying to assemble an IKEA entertainment center without the instructions. Since he has already began making his own corp, it will only be a matter of time before he places all his eggs in one basket.

Tonight we ran some abyssal space and I was in the warrior destroyer and he was running monk class.
