YC125.12.17 // ATHOUNON VI

In a significant development in the ongoing health crisis in Qucrain, researchers have identified the deadly outbreak as a strain of bacterium showing alarming signs of Triglavian mutadaptation. This bacterium, responsible for the outbreak, has been officially redesignated as “Mutadaptive Pulmonary Hemorrhagic Bacterium 125A”.

The situation in Qucrain has grown increasingly dire as the virulent nature of MPHB-125A becomes increasingly apparent. The identification of the disease’s Mutadaptive character further complicates any attempts at developing a cure locally.

In response to the outbreak, Taayusaka Eskeitan has initiated a general inoculation program in their occupied territories and extended an offer of assistance to Qucrain for researching the disease and developing a cure. However, Qucraines authorities have emphatically declined the offer, prompting sporadic unrest among the population, who express concerns that their government is not taking adequate measures to combat the disease as the death toll continues to rise.

The healthcare crisis has also placed tremendous strain on Qucrain’s logistics, causing disruptions in their supply chains. As defending militia forces face dwindling essential supplies, Caldari forces have capitalized on this vulnerability, making territorial gains in the region and exacerbating the situation.

Meanwhile, authorities continue to investigate the shuttle crash that is believed to have triggered the outbreak. The identity of the pilot remains unknown, though investigators report that they cannot conclusively identify them as neither a Caldari operative nor Federal-aligned resistance fighter.

The crash, resulting from Qucrain’s decision to shoot down the shuttle after it violated its airspace and failed to respond to communications, remains a significant aspect of the ongoing investigation. While initial concerns of a deliberate bioweapons attack have not yet been ruled out, experts suggest that such a scenario appears less likely. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the precise sequence of events leading up to the violation of airspace and the subsequent crash, as well as the identity of the pilot.
