Pretty sure the goal of the Summit is to talk about stuff on the spot, not 6 hours later…
Again, it’s you who brought it up, so you have to produce the evidence to back up your claim.
I am not defending a dissertation here, and you are not a professor on consulting communication.
I have seen no evidence that the CSM on location Summit is more efficient/productive than other methods.
If you disagree with my view, thats fine and your own prerogative.
Way to go Donald Trump
Well, he is President of the United States of America.
Trump has nothing to do with this thread.
Please stop derailing.
I believe in you Salvos. Will you print t-shirts for the campaign?
No.
I wont be selling anything or accepting anything from anyone, to prove my incorruptibility.
No “donation” of a website from someone.
No donations via Patreon.
No donations of in-game isk or PLEX.
I wont even accept the Omega sub from CCP should I be elected.
Oh I’m not derailing the thread. I’m using a real world example to call you out on your ■■■■■■■■.
If you cannot be bothered to come up with evidence and facts to back up your claims, how are you going to be an effective member of CSM? How are you going to make your case about disbanding the CSM to CCP? That ~150 character forum poll won’t get you very far.
I have.
I will fulfill all obligations as required of a CSM.
If all other options/methods to change CSM system do not succeed due to resistance from CSM, the disbandment of CSM will probably be by EVE wide universal, regulated referendum to demonstrate to CCP that a substantial enough proportion of the playerbase no longer want the CSM program in EVE.
That and the previous comment, was derailing.
You are trolling. I know that. You know that. Anyone reading this objectively knows that. Doesnt matter what I answer, or to how many of your repeated questions, or your denial of your trolling, we both know it will never be enough for you, and you will continue “heckling” here.
@Salvos_Rhoska The CCP given reson for the existance of the CSM is “to represent the player community in the development of EVE Online”
Why do you feel that this is not able to be fulfilled by the CSM as it currently exists?
And why do you feel that the disbanding of it would be the best step in imporving Eve Online Gameplay?
I will send you some ISK in the hopes you push my “pro-ganking agenda” once I’m home at the computer. You can already double it and send it back.
Many players do not agree that the CSM is representing the player community in the development of EVE Online.
Many dont vote, because they dont believe in the CSM program.
They have not had someone to vote for for its change/disbandment.
Nepotism, buddyism, political influence, “entrenched” CSM, Corp/Alliance affinity of several members at once, and being “yes”-men.
I and supporters would potentially agree to changes on how the CSM system/program works. If such changes cannot be agreed on, then against a reticent CSM we will have no choice than move for disbandment of the CSM program, altogether.
@Salvos_Rhoska Ok, I think I see where you are coming from…
Assuming that CCP will allow you to run on the basis of “Disband the CSM” as they wish to continue this practice and they are a private company, and free to do as they please.
What changes could you promote that would be within CCPs stated goals for the CSM and still follow what you have so far stated you wish to see?
Do you have any game design experience of any kind?
What can you bring to the table in assisting to “influence the development of EVE Online” as CCP states they wish for the CSM to do?
CSM is a program linked into EVE, and populated/elected from players in EVE.
Its as valid a platform as any other EVE linked one.
I was specifically told by a CCP Community Senior staff member that only via voting and running for the CSM, can those CSM issues be discussed or actualized.
So thats exactly what Im doing.
That staff member personally moved this thread here, obviously implicitly meaning he had read my OP.
For starters, a CSM 2 term max per person, only one CSM per Corp/Alliance, and changing CSM Summit to an entirely online event.
These three would go a long way towards restoring playerbase confidence/support for the CSM program.
Not in any professional capacity, no.
Aside from the CSM issue which is my primary platform, I have many views on actual EVE ingame development and directions, which I will formulate more concisely closer to the nomination period.
That the form/existence of the CSM is my primary platform, does not mean I will not perform the mundane obligations required of a CSM.
I will not deliberately throw monkey-wrenches into the CSM program to sabotage it.
But I will bring up and advocate for CSM system change, at every suitable opportunity, and raise hell if I so much as suspect political influencing occurring.
That’s not exactly what Falcon said to you. I think you’re reading something into it that wasn’t actually there.
I didn’t want to run. I told folks for months I wasn’t going to run. They put all that stuff together for me because they thought it was funny. When I told them they’d finally changed my mind about running, they were ecstatic.
It’s good to have friends.
You can ask those, like Steve, who have attended both in person and via teleconference as to which format was best for them. I think for everyone involved, being there in person is much better. I have had ample experience with both formats and you lose quite a bit not being there in person. That also includes the between meetings conversations and after hours meetings that anyone in a professional role who attends these types of events can tell you are as important as the meetings themselves.
While we’re on the subject of evidence, do we have any evidence that you actually play the game?
Im curious, whats the voter turn out in EvE in the last election?
Has already been provided.
Im asking you now, seriously, to quit trolling my early campaign thread, with you as a seated CSM.
I’m not trolling the thread. I’m having a conversation with you.
Like I said, I’ve seen no evidence that you actually play the game, and looking at Zkillboard only reinforces that fact. How do we, as potential voters, know you do more than post on the forums?
About 21k votes, iirc.
