Running for CSM next year:

No.
I’m against CSM occupying a seat for more than 2 terms.

Aside from that, make as many or as few friends as you want.

Because you are afraid that they become friends with the devs or other players?

/facepalm

Read above.

Since when do you have to be a CSM to make friends?
Let alone a CSM for more than 2 years?

I did, and I quote:

You are afraid that the CSM makes social connections with each other and the devs (which is pretty normal considering how much they work together over the year)

You are basically trying to ban making friends at social gatherings of any sort.

Also, you keep forgetting one thing with this tinfoil-theory of yours:

CSM has no power over CCP.
Zero.

CCP decides when to consult the CSM. CCP decides when to listen to the CSM. CCP decides when and if the CSM is required to be given information and what scope is given.

CSM is only there to represent players WHEN CCP wants that to happen. They cannot force CCP to change their plans.

I dont agree CSM should be able to be re-elected an indefinite amount of times.
Max 2 consecutive terms, followed by a 2 yr break.

If you disagree with that, fine.

It is my view.

Agree with me and vote for me, or disagree with me and vote for a guy that has attended 7 Summits and been CSM for 5-6yrs, or whatever Corp/Alliance toadie you prefer.

If people don’t want the same members to be in CSM, they just need to vote for someone else. It’s not a very difficult concept.

The reason some people do get voted in multiple times is because they turn out to be good at it and keep players views in the eyes of CCP.

Steve here is a perfect example. He represents the industrials and 3rd party devs while being open to other ideas as well. I don’t do 3rd party development or industry, but I’ve still voted for him several times because he’s a good person to have in the CSM.

Thats your choice and your view.

That is not my choice, or my view, nor that of those that will vote for me to place a 2term max on CSM, among other aspects of my platform.

You may have voted for Steve, many years running, but we did not.
Nor do we think he should have been able to run as many consecutive terms.

If that change is instated, I too wont be able to run more than 2 terms as CSM.

So are they allowed to only run for 2 terms or serve 2 terms?

To be elected CSM no more than twice in sequence.
So after the 2nd sequential term, they can no longer run in the next 2 years election.

I could ask you the same.

More than 1.

Correct. You arent.

On Earth, Sol system, Milky-way galaxy.

Lots of ego stroking, avoiding the question, dogmatic and circular arguments, ignorance (of many things), rheotoric and no clear policy beyond breaking the system.

Maybe Salvos is ideally qualified to be a “politicial” representative…

Just not here, where for the most part the voter base is just as well educated as the “political elite”; unlike the real world where the voter base proves time and time again that for the most part they’re as thick as two short planks.

Vote for someone else then.

I’m going to, sans a personality reset and neural remapping IRL you’re never going to be on my shortlist; and if I may be so bold as to speak for many many others I dare say the same is true for them.

Good for you.

I feel as though the only people who would vote for you, are the ones who probably have no clue what the CSM is/does, who dont visit the forums, or know who you are.

Term limits for people with zero power over the dev’s sounds idiotic. Say for next year it’s all new people, there will be so much confusion in the ranks, since as @Steve_Ronuken mentioned (voted for btw), folks who have been there a few years can help update the new csms without having to go to Devs.

You have no formal plan to run as csm, most of what you said is circle-jerk gibberish, and not even an ounce of what you think you have proposed would make any competent person vote for you. You need a lot more details as to how you are going to do things.

Dont worry, that will happen in due time.

Its many months till the elections.

How about just telling people what you think of each of the October changes?

Give them something to judge you on.

Where have you told people what you think of the October changes?

Afterall, you where actually involved in that, and all changes for the last 5-6years which have the game in its current state.
