Russian Accents Outside space stations?

What’s with the gross russian accents constantly making announcements outside of space stations now? If I wanted to listen to some Stalin wannabe yell propaganda at me I would move to Russia (and I won’t). I’ll probably never resubscribe to this wretched game again, tbh. Bye.

Good riddance, no community needs people who stir up rl political drama discussions over some ingame design choices like accents, skin color, clothing, artwork or something. Grow some tolerance.

Don’t want your stuff.

My post has nothing to do with politics. If it were just Caldari space it would at least make sense, but why are they forcing this on e.g. Gallente space? It is annoying and there is no way to turn it off without disabling all sound, and calling attention to that is the purpose of my post.

You wouldn’t have mentioned Stalin and Propaganda and Russia as a country if your rant wouldn’t be political. You wouldn’t even have posted if the accent would have been oxford english.

Backpedaling won’t help.

Try to imagine how life under the current worldwide political situation is for people who happen to have a “russian sounding” accent because their families orginated from there. People who may be good people, having done nothing wrong ever. Having to bear intolerant racist crap from basement dwellers who “can’t stand stalin propaganda” when hearing some russian-sounding voice announcement. Fighting over nonsense starts with ■■■■ like that.

OMG A FOREIGN ACCENT! PANIC!

Thy Jimmies are Rustled

I wouldn’t have mentioned Russia as a country if the accent weren’t Russian, you nitwit. It’s not my fault that Russia as a country is associated with Stalin and propaganda.

Imma take a seat right here

Actually by repeating it and bringing it up just from hearing a russian-sounding voice, even while literally every person responsible for the crimes of that era are long dead and buried, you are.

And who is bringing politics into this here? I really don’t care about how your poor, hypothetical Russian family is impacted by my mean forum post, what I care about is being yelled at by this annoying voice every time I’m outside of a space station. It’s terrible, godawful, no-good user experience, and CCP deserves to know about it. Your white knighting here serves no one.

Obviously you, by starting your complaint with

instead of “Whats with all those voice announcements outside stations? Can we please have an option to turn them off? I think they are too loud and too annoying, thank you!”.

Besides that, I am sitting outside Jita for like 15 minutes now and not a single annoying yelling announcement happened once. Now I did something really crazy, I logged in my Dodixie Alt and did the same in Gallente Space. And again: Not a single annoying yell at all. How can this be?
Well, there are two simple sound settings that entirely solve your “problem” with the russian accent:

Set them low or even zero and you won’t hear any of those “out of station ads” while still having all the other game sounds like weapons, warps, jumps etc..

You can thank me later!
