Scanning sites after battles

TLDR: After large battles add a scanable custom relic site near (or right near) the battle.

Long version.

Eve does really struggle on scanningcontent. I’d propose after mid-large battles >200 pilots, add a scanning site to the system, near the battle location. ‘Mid (large) scale battle remains’. New relic site. The site could be scaled based on number of pilots. Number of sites could be the number of grids used in battles.

Site could contain “small/mid/large/exlarge {race} ship remains” containers with random salvage based on race/class.
Composition may be determined by percentace of pilots. Container size could represent the class of ship destroyed. Site size could scale 1:10 from actual battle size. With 200 ships destroyed leave a 20 containers site.

large/ex large containers may have hazard clouds on them damaging incoming ship. If bombers were used, there could be “unexploded bombs” present. These hazards/ mechanics are already present in eve so nothing new required.

Such sites could be excellent dynamic addition to eve scanning content.

You can just scan down drones/wrecks and do the same thing.

As a regular scanner I think EVE has plenty of scanning content.

Also, to find the wrecks after a big battle between players you don’t need probes to scan the wrecks.

Those fights don’t happen in the middle of nowhere. They happen at gates, next to structures, at planets, moons, at a wormhole, at an ESS, near some objective. You can warp there, there’s no need to scan the wrecks.

Just use your directional scanner to find where the wrecks are at and loot the site.
