And it’s a clear sign by CCP that the red button exists and can be activated: ganking is an intended part of the game.

This is just a fairy tale.
No one is going to make an item that drops from NPCs and is mass produced all over New Eden scarce.
What you’re essentially expecting, that an entire element of EVE’s gameplay could be removed (points, scrams, webs and neuts are a huge deal) is about as realistic as expecting to be able to remove guns, or combat ships.
Sadly, while it’s a nice plan (if not a little unrealistic) you’re forgetting the people who have 25 account gank fleets also have 25 Industrial / Mining alts.
Anything you could try to take away from them they would make themselves.
And, scarcity doesn’t work when you’re talking about people who only get out of bed for AFK haulers carrying 10 billion in cargo.
They can afford scarcity.

that means 30,000 units no longer on the market… you don’t think that would have any effect at all??

Well, when the HS miners start to think and realize “hey, if we reprocess the stuff the belt rats drop, we won’t have to go inlo LS/NS space as much” it will start showing a marked change in availibility

Nope, just a common sense idea,
and the more you keep slinging Ad Homs, expletives and other trash talk, the more active the thread becomes, and the odds go up that some carebears may see it and go hey… why didn’t I think of that.
And there’s also the added bonus of being able to directly quote Sol as advocating that AFK mining is a perfectly valid and acceptable method of game play.

I can directly quote you saying “Doing X is bad, it is cancer, and CCP wants to boot you from the game for doing it” and also directly quote you as saying “Doing X is perfectly legit and an acceptable method of play”
so who better to argue against your point, then letting your own words do it… what will you do, go on to prove that Sol is an idiot, and doesn’t know what he’s talking about? 
TL;DR. I am not going to wade through all of this. I can farm points, webs and neuts myself. Since you can’t stop me from logging in and playing the game, you cannot stop me from accumulating points, webs and neuts. The idea to outbuy gankers is rather silly when you think about the drop rates of these modules.

but for every time you are farming rats, you aren’t ganking miners and industrials, so it still comes out as a ‘win’ of achieving that goal.
and the ‘outbuy’ may have been mis-understood
if there are now low/null sec minerals in your local market, you simply buy points, neuts, scrams, webs, and reprocess them, now you have access to low/null sec minerals from your local market, with a side benefit of there being less of these modules to be used against you.
developing this habit -will- have a scarcity effect on the market.
