Has anybody had screen freeze in game where the mouse and screen freeze but the audio carry on in the background?
Ive had this 9 time last night and twice this afternoon.
I have done everything it tell you do do to clear it, it only happens on eve online when either unlocking, opening a page from the menu or clicking on a skill book.
Its normally starts with a buzz the freeze.
Its driving me nuts.

When I was on Win10 I had this, but it was not exclusively an Eve issue, it was a Windows + AMD drivers issue.
Had to run chkdsk and DISM to ensure the Windows install was not compromised (sometimes it was), then run DDU in safe mode, strip out everything including the Windows defaults, then reinstall the whql file as driver only. After that, games would work normally until one of them got updated, and the problem would return. Went through that cycle for a couple years then migrated my home system to Linux. Not perfect but I don’t have this issue anymore.
Last time i had it, it was a broken nvidia 750 ti. Would work sometimes and sometimes freezes. After restart it would work again.
Also only happened with EVE, but not for example with heavy CUDA loads. Very strange.
I didn’t do much else on that system and just swapped the GPU out for a newer model to find the bug. Has worked stable ever since i had done that.
Same here, but it’s not an EVE problem for me.
Screen freezes, audio continues and nothing responds anymore so I have to turn my PC off. Or sometimes it doesn’t even have the audio continue, goes black and restarts.
While it happens most often while I play EVE and have a browser open (EVE without browser is usually fine it seems), it also infrequently happens without EVE so seems a problem of my PC, not EVE.
I’m on Windows 11. Tried a fresh windows reinstall, graphics drivers updates but the problem persists. It’s a decent laptop but also getting older but PC prices are a bit high right now so I was hoping I could use it longer.
Not a bad idea, if this continues longer I might do the same.
