Simply not true. Outside of Amarr itself I didn’t encounter a single ganker today. Likewise on a trip from Vittenyn to Oipo…30 jumps or so…I encounted gankers in one system, Uedama. Most systems in Eve are ganker free most of the time. Heck…there are even highsec systems such as Eba where you can mine all day long and not meet anyone…let alone a ganker.
We went to every ganker hot spot and did some mining, opened a public fleet and broadcast our intentions, not one bite, I tell you if they don’t try and gank us next time I’m going to complain
Yes it was quite obvious it was a joke, I enjoyed seeing my adversaries id spent hour fighting. Good show and nice to hear what they think. Who would in there right mind go on that show and take the opposing stance.
Maybe do an interview how the tether and other changes effect them ext show, Aiko already said she doesn’t use tether so no effect there.
You have to remember that the freighter buff they are talking about is after they changed the wreck EHP when CCP Fozzie realised that he had been had, so he applied the DCU change to freighters when they had originally intended not to as a balance against that buff to ganking because AG were blowing up wrecks with the same destroyers that they were using. The speed that CCP reacted to this AG strategy was am example of why most people do not trust CCP.
Insurance is silly as a nerf, as you say it was silly to have an insurance pay out for criminal acts anyway, but it was also pretty irrelevant because of the removal of the -25% ROF penalty on Destroyers, that enabled cheap massed ganking fleets and resulted in an explosion of ganking. At that point the insurance nerf was meaingless because the ganking ships were all cheap as hell anyway…, so much for that one…
I like your reply in terms of bumping. As I campaigned tirelessly to get rid of continuous bumping I am glad someone else recognised the damage it did. It gave too much strategic control and as such was a terrible mechanic. Amusingly after the gankers whined about it destroying ganking, they then continued as per normal just as I predicted by using an initial tackle ship. So much for that nerf, notice that this is a N+1 and a new step in their simple multi-boxing process…
But most of all, step back and ask yourself one simple question, can all the other nerfs to ganking be countered simply by N+1? And there lies the issue
Also no one ever looks at the complete nerfing of organised AG.
Pretty much a joke, classic ganker circle jerk.
LOL AG has never been nerfed.
Most AG don’t know how to PvP.
The removal of you know who would be beneficial
Once we get more from CCP on what the changes actually are and what they point of them is, we’ll cover them. We talked a bit about it on the show this weekend, but it was largely speculation since we don’t have anything official from CCP yet.
There’s literally 1090 high sec systems and yesterday there were literally 20 ganks:
How is that flourishing?
Twenty ganks in a Saturday?
You have still not realised the issue with using Zkill to count the number of ganks.
Let me help you:
- Most gankers no longer report their ganks to Zkill
- Zkill applies the ganked definition on ganks where there are five or more attackers.
As a result Zkill woefully understates the true number of ganks. If you continue to use this then you are just kidding yourself, anyone else who knows will just sigh…
oh no, the comparison to the highest possible, yet completely irrelevant number of “total highsec systems”. Ganking always has been concentrated around major routes and hubs, cutting these 1000 total systems down to maybe 50 or even less relevant ones where ganking has been an issue at all over the years.
Also zkill shows 210 ganks in the last 7 days, means 30 per day on average - weekdays included - and we might conclude that a lot of ganks do not even show up as said multiple times in the topic.
So, if we assume that the real number of ganks per day is definitely higher around the hotspots where ganking usually takes place. I cannot remember that the number was that high in the “good old days” everyone keeps mentioning (except some occasional Ganking Events like BurnJita or Hulkageddon), so from my point of view I’d defintely say ganking is in a quite healthy state these days.
Yes just watching the show, very well done until Kazanir got all excited about docking and ganking and griefed his mic.
Maybe you can buy him a mic like yours so he sounds clear too,
This is absolute nonsense.
Zkill doesn’t count kills in low sec way more than highsec… why nobody worries about this?
Where is this kill on zkillboard and all the other solo kills?
It’s nowhere to be found!
The gankers who really matter have all kills on zkillboard!!!
Like Aiko for example, all her kills are there to be counted.
If my neutral gankers get a kill in highsec it’s not important, many other kills in low and null sec never came up too
You are the one using Ganked denoted Zkill reports to indicate the level of ganking, not me.
There are some tornado ganks that don’t get tagged as ganked… but Tornado gankers barely never use tether.
Strange Tornado gank…
Cough, do you see the Ganked sign on this kill? Nope…
I don’t know why this one is like this, I wasn’t on that grid.
Haha, well if you want to continue using Ganked on Zkill to define the level of ganks feel free, but it is utterly worthless.
He can’t afford my mic, lol
How is it the easiest and most overpowered type of PvP?
Please outline the particulars.
