Like what Vokan Narkar is saying, are you or anyone able to pull out the respawn timers for the drops? Sounds like a lot of afk accounts just to farm tags. Rather stay docked and focus on PI
Unfortunately I donât know this drop table, actually I donât even know if tags are limited in drops.
Then unless there is another way of repairing the security status it will become very unbalanced towards easy freighting highvalue goods at low risk.
This is an issue when looking at the larger picture.
I believe you can test hypothesis on sisi. The loot drops should be the same, the main difference is that some algorithms take into account the number of people in a system, the number of jumps - but those should (?) not be impactful for clone soldier tags. Plus you can play on sisi and at the same time on tq.
The limitations youâre talking about are an effect of the amount of players being limited, not an effect of the amount of resources being limited. Ore and NPC rats respawn as quickly as theyâre destroyed. You complete an anomaly in one place, it respawns in another. You can quite literally increase the availability of resources just by running the content faster.
Tags, on the other hand, are limited to a set spawn rate for a set amount of systems. Adding more players will not result in more tag generation after the capacity is reached. Now, Iâm not saying weâre anywhere near the capacity point yet, but theoretically itâs an achievable goal.
Iâm not sure if it always respawn directly. I know that in some cases you see the anom respawn as you finish it, but that does not mean itâs always the case. Thatâs a good question.
Also there is a difference between increasing your income and the income being illimited.
If the resource generation is limited, and you harvest say 50% of that resource, If you reduce your loss by 50% (so 50->75%) by using twice as many accounts, you are increasing your income, while it still is limited.
@Wes_Wyhunnan
When are those changes supposed to take place?
Itâs a script thatâs part of the game engine, so yes, itâs always running.
But weâre not discussing income, but rather the availability of tags to enable ganking to take place. If there arenât enough tags, then that would put a hard cap on the ganking that can happen, which would act as an artificial limitation on a play style, which isnât something that exists for other play styles, unless we count logging in to collect rewards once a day as a play style.
So first of all, they can be acquired only in lowsec. Second only in systems of 0.2 - transporter and 0.1 negotiator. The other tags are of no value even with this change forcing pretty much every ganker to fix his security status.
That already largely limits where you can farm it.
Third, you obtain them by killing a special npc that can spawn at ore belt. They can also spawn at ice belts and even mining mission pockets, but that is very rare and cannot be really âabusedâ to increase their spawn rate.
That further limits where you can farm it.
And there is just a small chance they can spawn there. You need to kill all npcs at all belts to force new chance roll. Belts respawns ever 20 minutes I believe.
So based on number of belts in system the chance can be high or low. There is also competition - other players are doing it and they may hunt you if they smell you are weaker than they are. The negotiator npc also warps disrupts which makes it very dangerous too.
So hell lot of warping around, between belts and between systems. It is not something you can easily multibox, alts can help with farming, but pretty much impossible to play them both at the same time.
Where there is finite limit of how many can spawn, I donât know, but the 20min respawn + time spent for flying, well getting 4 per hour was ideal, but I could never do it in longer period of time.
Hence, the supply wonât be able to meet new demand if CCP wonât budge with this crap.
Honestly this docking change is absolutely nonsense.
Criminals can still dock, but with capsule, why? And they cannot dock with ship in their own structures, lol. Complete nonsense which kills player interaction.
The correct way would be to completely deny docking at NPC stations (besides self-destruct/clone jump as that would be too difficult for CPP to code), but allow dock at friendly structures and let players to engage in the structure battle - if AG wants to prevent gankers to operate there all they have to do is to destroy structure. Instead they get it for free basically. Seems that crying to CCP works.
Huh. So are you done pretending you are new and not an alt or
LOL look at the other alt telling on themselves
And this is why they will never have my respect.
There are in game tools to address all of these things.
Instead they cry to daddy CCP to save them. Most of these alleged people against ganking havenât even clocked time trying to prevent ganks or fighting them at all.
Most of these save the nubs people donât interact with the nubs at all.
It is rather amusing to see people like me who asked for removal of docking rights in NPC stations and the removal of tethering protection for criminals, directly blamed for CCP going even further and applying docking restrictions to structures too . I suspect that all this excessive ganking finally caught up with you, I did tell you lot that over doing it was not going to go well for youâŚ
Whatâs your problem?
But is that script really executed every time you finish a site, and if yes does it necessarily make the site usable the moment the site is finished ?
Iâm saying, just because you can increase it with the amount of chars, does not mean itâs not limited.
448 posts and no one knows when this takes place?
It is just a series of 3 strings reported by a site that does datamining on the Sisi client that, so far, have no actual implemented use. Thereâs no known announcement that these changes will ever be made. No assurance that they will apply to all areas of highsec even if they are made. They could just as easily have something to do with the scope event or the creation of some edencom area or pretty much anything else that may happen tomorrow or never.
Canât you use whatâs his name standing service to get you standing back up
Thatâs what everyone is so worked up about? Changes that may or may never be implemented?
The absence of devs statements and CSMâs ignorance of whether or not it will happen could mean theyâre just thinking about it, maybe will test it on the test server, maybe theyâre just going to gather data for another projectâŚ
Three sentences enough to get everyoneâs panties in a bunch. Thatâs hilarious.
Because you donât test the idea on sisi. You test the implementation. The idea is discussed beforehand, accepted and then devs implement it.
So if there is something on sisi, it means there is something that will change. Now we donât know what is that thing, so we can make only make guesses, because preparation is mandatory in a game like Eve. Maybe this will make clone soldier tags worth much more ? In that case itâs better to farm them now.
This all matches my experience. Plus in low sec mining fleets can warp in on you while fighting a negotiator. That means youâre pointed and the dreaded NPC mining response fleet is coming to kill you. And they will. Itâs happened to me.
Iâve been meaning to count the number of belts in all 0.1 and 0.2 systems. In my experience every 20 minutes a system with 12 belts may spawn 1, and extremely rarely 2 clone soliders. that upper bound puts the average at around 1 tag every 12 belts every 20 minutes.
Assuming full-time diligent clears, which in practice will result in only 2 respawns per hour due to the time it takes to warp, scout, trigger mining NPCs to leave a belt you need to clear, etc, thatâs going to be far less than 2 tags an hour for 12 belts on average. And then most lowsec systems have far, far fewer than 12 belts.
There is a hard cap of tag supply, and it is a low number.
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought Sisi was for general testing, even testing of ideas before a yea or nay is given.
I mean, an idea may look good on paper but testing it definitely cuts through assumptions.
I can understand that. But
I wouldnât be comfortable to prepare days or weeks of grind only on a guess that something may happen. Thatâs like taking your umbrella on a sunny day because afternoon showers may happen.
Maybe.
