It’s nothing along the lines of P2W, it’s more along the lines of players who immerse themselves in the lore and spirituality of the environment of EvE Online. Those who fly withing the ether of the lore that is EvE Online. Immunity from PvP would bring a capsuleers spirit into reality for them as.
Why shouldn’t a Capsuleer be able to pray or enshrine their belief then suddenly the prayer comes true in the form of Immunity Bonus Module.
Let’s see … uhm, maybe because pvp immunity would be the total opposite of what the lore is about ? Dystopian and Darwinian are the words that come to mind. No one escapes.
But back to your OP. (1) Any suggestion that crosses the “no gold ammo” line i.e., spending cash for ingame benefits affecting basic EvE gameplay causes the playing field to become unleveled. In a game where losses are real, that makes a huge difference in the experience of the “harsh but fair” factor. If you’re curious about its effects, there are plenty of games - and new ones like (Eve) Frontiers in the making - that will demonstrate that for you. (2) Even without the plex requirement your suggestions have no merit. (3) Making sensible suggestions is the responsibility of any forum poster, and that requires knowledge. You (should) have enough knowledge about the game and its community to avoid “hacks for cash” suggestions.
All in the assumption that you were being serious, of course.
Some players would prefer to pay to have a fun balanced game and would not pay to play an unfair game where players can pay for cheats.
‘Pay for cheats’ would likely cause some players to stop playing, myself included.
Because of the likely consequence of a shrinking payerbase it’s a bad assumption to think that the addition of ‘pay for cheats’ results in more profits for CCP.
Not only would it destroy game balance, it could also very well result in less profit.
The prime concern of any customer is to receive the goods and services they already paid for. The idea that customers should bring ideas to the producer to increase the price of the product is irrationality disguised as a rational thought.
Now there’s a radical thought, perhaps the most radical thought I’ve ever seen on the forums in the past 13 years, let alone deemed possible or even acceptable.
