Also, standing correct is the only way, a man that repeats himself does not respect himself.
We should only speak once, and that should be enough. Let the oldpas that need attention find it elsewhere, and boy there’s a huge load of lonely people posting to get some attention… Jez.
Is Facebook broken or what? Oh wait, it’s AI now, never mind.
You completely missed the point and replaced it with the usual risk-averse carebear fantasy.
Nobody here was talking about wanting to kill newbies until you showed up with the tired “gankers and harassers” nonsense. Rookie protections already exist so that isn’t the issue and never was.
The issue is whether this becomes an abusable zone.
People are asking very basic, very valid questions:
Can characters re-enter after leaving?
Can ISK, ships, items, or resources be moved out?
Can existing players feed alts from outside?
Does this become a safe farming bubble that distorts the economy and splits the playerbase?
Instead, you jumped straight to the usual “evil PvPers want to force their hobby on everyone” bit, because that’s how carebears/risk-averse players always process EVE. Anybody who defends risk vs reward or engages in PVP gets turned into an evil seal clubbing basement dweller in your head.
That mentality is exactly what’s wrong with the vast majority of risk averse players. Lose a ship, learn nothing, blame PvP, call everyone who understands the sandbox a harasser, then demand more safety. If anything, EVE should be MORE dangerous, not safer. Modern EVE is the safest it has ever been. We can’t even wardec people without them having structures now. Back in the day it really was “Talk smack - get smacked with a wardec”. Your actions had consequences. Now, due to years of such nonsensical cries for safer EVE, we have Highsec being the safest its ever been… multiboxers flying dozens of marauders around inflating the economy, words having no consequence… All that’s actually done is increase ganking as it was left as the lone viable path for most conflict resolution or highsec PVP.
Risk vs reward and PVP are the backbones of EVE and drive pretty much the entire economy/game. So when CCP starts creating bigger protected spaces with vague restrictions, people are obviously going to question it.
If you actually understood the concern being raised, you’d be talking about safeguards and abuse prevention.
Like i said in a previous Post, as long as they dont get rid of “Yolo” ganking (not the “normal” ganking”) everything is just a waste of resources, time and afford.
Soon the Newbie left “Newbie Island” and get overhelmed in his venture by 10 Catas or one shooted by a nado just for the Lolz with a usefull Tipp like: ”get Gut”, nothing will change and if they implent 100 more such systems.
CCP lives still in the past, and failed to see time changed and the PvP, PvP; kill Kill, Hurr hurr is long over.
Peoples nowadays dont want it anymore aslong with joining big null blocs, also known as” the Cancer of EvE” , i see more “Single Char Corps” then ever befor.
But CCP dont get it or ignoring it, still trying to force peoples into Null.
Null Blocs are desperade looking for new Peoples but cannot find any, thats why they need to use Multiboxing and boting, which is an other Plague to the Game.
Hey folks. The blog covers a lot of our design goals for Exordium but yeah the shot version is that we are hoping to get benefits from:
a) bringing new players closer to each other at the start, so they can encounter each other more easily and veteran mentors can also reach them more easily
b) giving the new players a lower stress environment or the very start of their experience - in practice new player ganking is extremely rare, but new players don’t usually know that fact so we’ve received feedback from new folks who are stressed they’ll get killed while they learn how to control their ship (even though we know that’s likely not going to happen, they don’t)
c) giving new players a space where all the PVE content is new player focused so they don’t wander into higher level combat sits or hacking sites they can’t probe down right away
On Yulai possibly being hellcamped
That behavior there will be interesting to observe. Ganking of newbies is already super rare, which has led us to not want to pre-emptively do anything specific for Yulai. However if camping that gate and killing newbies for instance starts to become a problem then we have some options in mind for ways we could constrain that activity. We’ll see if that becomes needed or not.
CCP Fozzie : One other thing I’ll note because I realize it’s not mentioned in the blog: the shipcasters from this space can only be used once per character (they’re intended as one-time-use shortcuts) to limit power projection issues
Deployables and structures will be banned in this space. If jetcans become a problem we can look into solutions but we don’t want to block them unless we see a real need
Another thing that’s briefly mentioned in the blog but it worth highlighting: Exordium will have special taxes on most activities including on market trades, so I’d expect the trading within Exordium to resemble a supercharged version of the trading that currently takes place in starter and career agent systems. People bringing in goods to sell to newbies at a convenience markup (with increased compeition thanks to the increased volume)
No, because we don’t want to disrupt the flow for players who started right before the expansion, and we also want the ability to potentially use the old flow for some tests to confirm whether this new space helps retention or not
In this expansion there’ll just be some tweaks and bug fixes for the career agent missions, not a bigger rework of them
Well thats all the info from fozzie so far. He dipped out of discord
Exordium will have a new “starter space” security tier that completely prevents PvP within its borders. While players are in Exordium, their safety will be locked to green
But is it really “Full Sec” if you still can lose your ship to NPCs?
I mean really…i understand all those PVP averse ranters…but what in the world was the thought here…i demand “True Full Sec” where i have guaranteed wins on the press of a button with guaranteed no damage ever hitting my ship!
“Full Sec” i suppose is just not enough for everyone. “True Full Sec” is the way!
