If you don’t get their point then why are you acting like I’ve insulted your mother?
They will unanchor. This will have the same effect as blocking docking, and prevent you from completing.
Scam acheived.
Um… doesn’t it take 7 days to unanchor a citadel? Also during that 7 days isn’t it completely vulnerable? Sounds like a huge risk just to scam a couple hundred mil off some broke hauler… who can wait out your contract, effectively besieging a citadel as a single, non-combat, pilot.
Raitarus cost around 500 mill right now. People often scam on the level of billions. But id gladly take 300 million isk. Wouldnt you?
And were talking about hisec. Vulnerable to what? A wardec? Remember, it takes 24 hours to begin a wardec. Courier contracts can be set up as days to complete: 1 day. If you dont complete it by then, you fail the contract.
What do you mean by unanchor ? If they start unanchoring, then the structure will remain anchored until the completion.
Im pretty sure you cant dock during unanchoring, can you?
you don’t need to dock to complete the courrier, that’s the idea of this feature.
If its unanchoring and if the process means you cannot dock, at all, then you also cant complete the courier contract, because no one can dock, which means its not accepting any new items.
But truth be told, i dont know for certain if unanchoring citadels can still accept docking. I thought it didnt, but i could be wrong.
I already docked in unanchoring citadels.
Okay. I couldnt in the past, so maybe they changed it.
exactly, it was written “unanchoring in X”. so maybe there is a difference, I don’t know.
Tackle and shoot the courier with the citadel you say?
Destroying them with ships is just as effective!
Please allow this new feature only to deliver courier packages or when a ship is tethered.
It’s good for dropping ore off as well. This is tremendous news for haulers.
You cannot tether if docking rights are removed, smartie.
Did you not read, that it cannot happen with, cloaking, weapons, or criminal timer. Which I assume means if you are scrammed, you have a weapons timer. @Harlan_Adoudel
So i could roam hostile space, steal ESS tags and fill up on loot. Then use the hostiles own citadels to safly extract my loot via asset safty?
Amazing
Nice feature, but as many said above - it is highly tended to be abused in combination with asset safety. The currently described implementation creates massive safe haven for loot or any valuables on any citadel (even hostile) in proximity.
Possible solutions:
limit non-tethered ships to devlivering plastic wraps only
limit cargo deposit to a special hangar bay with no asset safety functions
put cargo deposit service (except plastic wraps) into citadel owner control or even to the direct operator decision (with denial by default)
Currently described implementation could works well in highsec, except wardec cases.
