When someone in the leadership of a corp, changes the standings for either an Alliance, Corp or Individual, they have the ability to add a note that all corp members can read but not edit.
Example:
Director sets a corp to red. Reason “Gankers”. All corp members can see it in the notes but not change. Unless they have the correct permission to change.
Same for an individual. Reason “known alt of playerX”
I see our corp mark players in starter corps with red but no idea why and sometimes the leadership doesnt remember why either.
I tried searching the forums and couldnt find this suggestion so forgive me if it has already been suggested.
Labels, as Hatch said, and the person who set the standings should at least add the info in the Notes tab of the char (which does not work for corps because they still do not have a Notes tab, after 20 years).
Corp Bulletins (I know, they still exist) for permanent and Corp Mails for more temporary (because of the limited number of saved-and-visible mails) are also semi-workable workarounds to distribute that kind of knowledge.
Appreciate the reply.
I dont think labels is the solution personally.
After your reply, I realised what we need is a “Corp notes” tab. That is the most concise suggestion. Only editable by those with said permissions.
Mails and bulletins are not great. We would have to be constanly checking them and the list could be hundreds long. I use notes myself a lot. I use it for things like, ships flown, good or bad reasons for my standings (good pvp pilot to fleet with, ganker, theif, alt scout of X).
Lables are not diverse enough and you cant really add any proper custom information.
I dont want to add paragraphs of information, but it should be editable. Not just to assign a label.
